The idea of these videos is to give a "realistic" view on the whole process involved in making an instrument and not just the "fun" part, as well as showing how much attention to detail and time is necessary during every step of the construction.
These videos take a long time to make so comment, like, subscribe if you like them so I know to keep making more!

I saw a video about an ancient violin being restored and was certainly not impressed with what the person used on the violin to clean it and not using hide glue. If that was my violin it would give me nightmares. Can I ask you to do a reaction video? The video was titled 'ancient violin restoration' on the masters of craft channel. You are a professional luthier. The person who did this video obviously wasn't. Ask Olaf The Violin Maker has already done a reaction video to it but I would like some other professional luthiers also to express their views.

Hi!! Thank you very much for the message and the suggestion :)
I actually hadn't seen the video (didn't even know about it as I usually don't watch what other makers so as to keep my ones "original") so thanks again for sharing it!
Unfortunately I don't think I'll make a reaction video to it. Even if it was really cringy to watch and I disagree with most of his methods (some I'd even say that they're wrong), I still know that there's a person behind it with feelings, who put his work, effort and exposed himself to the camera (which is not easy!).
So while I think that a friendly message or comment saying "I wouldn't do it this way", "have you tried that other method?", or "that's usually not the best for the next reasons" would be ok (and probably even a good thing to do), I think that a whole video criticising his work would be a bit too much!
At the same time, maybe some people disagree with some of my methods too right?
That being said, please keep suggesting other videos (even similar to this one!) as I'm happy to look at them and I'd love to make review videos of some!
