Thank you for liking my hometown and the food, people don’t realize how many different dishes you can find, you literally drive 30min and the specialty changes. Enjoy your stay in Italy
I have the honor of having a milanese mom that makes the best ossobuco. It's probably my favorite dish ever, not only for nostalgia, it's just a genius dish: the fatty -chewy consistence of the meat, the rich marrow, the herbal fragrance of the sauce paired with the creaminess of the risotto... it's just amazing, you should try to make it yourself!
Mike, I remember back when you once described uni as tasting like the ocean threw up in your mouth, and now watching you enjoy it with some awesome pasta and crab.. it’s been a fun journey along with you through your videos! Thanks for another great one! 😄
Visited Milan for the first time last year. When you see the Duomo for the first time, it’s a magical experience. Simply unbelievable beauty. Glad you took the tour around inside. Wish I knew about the seafood restaurant before I went, I’m an Uni junkie
This is great, but whoever told you saffron doesn't have flavor was wrong lol. Find some and put one of the pieces in your mouth. The flavor is very strong, and so is the pigment (hence why it turns everything yellow), so most recipes will only use a super small amount.
One of my absolute favourite hot sauces has saffron as an ingredient, it's the last one listed, and it shines through and through! You don't need a lot! It's sooo flavourful!
7 years in the making... Mikey willingly (well.... Ish) ate broccoli and DID NOT HATE IT!!!! Remember when he wouldn't eat raw stuff? Are... Are we seeing an evolution??
That crab claw also looks just like Red Rock Crab (Cancer productus). Very tasty. The top shell isn't quite the same though, because Red Rocks have more pronounced points along the side of the carapace.
Can't believe they ruined the view of that beautiful church with that giant tv. What were they thinking! Food looks really good, if course. Italy looks like such a great place to visit.
That crab is a stone crab - here in Brazil theres a similar species and it is delicious too The panzeratta (sp?) looks a lot like Brazilian "pastel", the dough here is thinner and very crunchy and the fillings are legion, savory and sweet
When I vacationed in Italy, I found the sauce was the best part of the pizza. It was light, slightly sweet, and not overpowering like sauces in America can be.
Try Croatian-style pizza. flaky philo-type layered crust, spinach instead of tomatoes, sour cream instead of cheese sauce, roast cucumbers and fresh sausage as common toppings, and the tomato sauce is served on the side, so you can either pour it on the pizza, dip the pizza in it, or eat it like a soup with a spoon.
I’m sure the osso buco is tasty but I’m sorry to say you have been shortchanged by that restaurant. They gave you the end cut (instead of the proper Center cut) with half the meat around the bone, and also half the size of bone marrow compared to what is normally served. It is also way too thin. I’ve eaten many osso buco in restaurants (I live in Europe) and never seen an end cut like this being served at a proper restaurant. Also, saffron DOES have a strong and unique flavour.
Wish I had known you were going to Milano, my cousin has lived there 66 years and is a world traveler. She could have put you on some awesome eateries and other stuff. She goes to NYC often, maybe you could have given her some tips. Her name is Cheserina which means treasured one. Stay cool Mikey
It is nearly 11 pm in WV right now and I'm enraged there's no place nearby that I can get crab pasta like that. This is the first time Mike's vlog has upset me.
Hey Mike n Christine.... Hope the day is going well.. It's the 🦀 soup for me. Yum-my!!! I love seafood periodt. So that 🦀 soup is calling my name... Those hot crussiant thingies too.... ❤️🐞
Hello Mike! I would love it if you can try Hmong food! Our culture is very under respresented and I a feature would be out of this world! I've been a long time fan, and I think I've seen every single one of your videos. But I have yet to see you try Hmong food! You can always find a small deli in Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Or there is a bunch of places in Minnesota if you happen to stop by! Keep up the great work!!!
Best Ever Food Review Show did an episode about the Hmong community in Minnesota, and how they kept their traditions and foods alive despite the climate difference
considering the amount of videos out there on hmong food(which isnt very different from a lot of south east asian food), and considering that the global population is only about 4 - 5 million, id say you are OVER represented. If you want more video reviews on hmong food, go on and do them. nobody is stopping you.
Is this the same man who used to not like Uni so much? Not his fav? Just surprised how many times I’ve seen Mike eat it lately. My Abe it depends on where it comes from? I don’t know ? I’ve never had it before
Weird. Mikey's hair leaving the hotel is messy and wet, but after talking about the rain and his hair goes to neat and dry. But that 96% cocoa ice cream, I have to try. I can imagine it being intensely chocolately, especially when I already find 82% to be very intense.
You know it is the best when Mike seems surprised and laughs a little.
He had the mona lisa dish. No wonder.
The first pasta dish looked devine!! Love mushrooms and truffles. Having it myself on Saturday and I can't wait!!!
Yup!
there´s nothing like fresh Pasta, i hate low carb diet but a gals gotta do what a gals gotta do *sighs*
Love to see your notifications pop up makes my whole day better
I am happy that I get to see your experiences. They are wonderful! Thank you and yours!!!
Mike I've never left you a message before but I've watched your vlogs for years now and I've never seen a bad
one thank you so much for doing these Ed
He probably edits the bad ones out

It would be such a great camping meal quite honestly.
Love the diversity of food!

Since when are not a fan of congee? I learned about it from your videos and you used to say you loved it.
It’s nice to Milan again in your videos. I was there way back in 2015.
Amazing sight of the place and that crab is really well plate and presented. Thanks Mike for another mouth watering content.
If Mikey needs 🍞 for the dishes juice, you know that it is an amazing dish & a must try.
when are you posting the vlogs filmed in Portugal?
This is great, but whoever told you saffron doesn't have flavor was wrong lol. Find some and put one of the pieces in your mouth. The flavor is very strong, and so is the pigment (hence why it turns everything yellow), so most recipes will only use a super small amount.
He tasted a bunch of it in the Middle East a few videos ago and again in this one here.

So I had my first experience with bone marrow kind of recently and I can say I agree with Mike on that; bone marrow is delicious.
I definitely live vicariously through you!
yup
Thank you so much for the years of incredible content :)
You should make a shirt that says "deelishshish"
(#2) Osso Buco is so amazing! I miss my mother's Osso Buco!!! Everything in Italy tastes amazing!!!
7 years in the making... Mikey willingly (well.... Ish) ate broccoli and DID NOT HATE IT!!!! Remember when he wouldn't eat raw stuff? Are... Are we seeing an evolution??
I was thinking that myself. Is this the same Mike??
Upload from Mike. My night is COMPLETE!!!
I adore your content! So wholesome and relaxing💕
Soooooo excited to watch!
I've never heard of a panzeratti (sp?), but boy, did those look good. That osso buco looked mighty nice, too. Living the dream!
They're basically a folded over pizza (keeping it laymens terms)
So delish, especially if you have a few great dipping sauces!
Spelling is "panzerotti" (singular is panzerotto)
That pizza was an offence for all Italians everywhere 🍕👀
Italy is my favorite! Don’t think I ever had anything bad to eat there.
Sshhhaa shhreee shhhrruuuuu sshhhrreeeeeerr is back 🤣
That church looks amazing, thank you showing it!!
Thanks for the Italian vlogs I really want to go so in taking all the notes from this video cause I like your reviews for years now.
Daaangg the way Mike Chen enjoys Spicy crab and Italian food tour is making my full belly hungry
Everything looked amazing great video!!
I get so excited with new videos!
This is so crazy to me. I don’t even like seafood but I love to watch your food reviews!
It helps when you don't have to cook it or break it open. lol
Yo Mike! Love the vids!
Spicy crab 🦀 yum 🤤

Panzerotto 😉

America loves the sugar.

@@-jank-willson That's crazy.
Americans will Americans any fantastic dish more unhealthy and ruin it somehow. Like everything else
My son lives in Milan we’ve not been out there yet but I’m thinking I’m gonna go now , nothing like food for inspiration thanks Mike 🤣
Haven't had real crab in over 30 years because I'm allergic but I wanna try it again...especially the inside of the body 😋😋😋 -Shang
Mmmm mouth watering 😋 😍
I was just watching another one of your videos. :)
OMG! he likes a dish with broccoli. it must be REALLY GOOD
That spicy crab pasta looked great! Hoping that you did make it Bologna - I went there recently and loved it and would love to see where you went;

Also, saffron DOES have a strong and unique flavour.
Saffron is full of flavour, very earthy, floral and has a very distinctive taste and smell.

I WISH KRISTINE WOULD TALK & GIVE OPINION IN THESE VLOGES :) :( LOVE SEEING HER & LISTENING TO HER ENJOY OR NOT ENJOY HER FOOD!
I'm sorry but those pizzas looked like something you'd get from the gas station.
😂
I know right! The congealed cheese!
They really did.
Nop that pizza Is something else my guy.. 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾
Will be in Milan very soon taking notes Mikey
Love Milan ! I was there 2 weeks ago! Just be careful with the tourists 🪤 lol
Cheers from San Diego California
Lol what? Risotto compared to congee...absolutely not 🤣
When you clean the sauce with bread at the end of the meal, they call it "Fare la scarpetta" in Italy.
Wow that building was beautiful
Mikey is the Russian judge of pizza 😂 💜
Hope you're personally doing well Mike. Thank you for being apart of my life for what feels like, 5 years or so now? Lol keep it up brutha.
Hi Mike,.. that first dish.. isn't that Focaccia?
Love your videos Mike!
I thought you loved congee?
It is nearly 11 pm in WV right now and I'm enraged there's no place nearby that I can get crab pasta like that. This is the first time Mike's vlog has upset me.
Enraged there's no place nearby to get crabs! 🦀 Haha! Love it 😆
I feel that. I live in rural Colorado.
Watching you eat Italian food makes me miss sicilian food
every city in italy is a food city
Finally made it to the 500 and under comment club😄 I love the ring on your finger you are complete!
I could tell by the canned mushrooms, that first slice was going to suck...

Tiniest uni I’ve ever seen… the pastas though looks really yummy 🤤
Omg food looks good and Im a big fan. I watched you when i was a little kid
what ever happened to your restaurant ?
The trick to getting the marrow out from osso bucco, is to poke it with your finger 😂
I never get here this early lol. Fun
Do you ever give Christine the first bite? Or serve her before you start to eat?!? Lol
Chinese tradition is men eat first.
@@CosmicGoku529 😒
@@CosmicGoku529 Mikey doesn't look traditional lol
@@lilkitten545 Doesn't matter what he looks like. A that matters is how he was raised.
Panzarotti is basically a folded deep fried pizza
Yummmmmmy!!!!
Those huge monster slices at the first place looked absolutely disgusting 😂😂😂
that hot pocket looks so good!
Hey Mike n Christine.... Hope the day is going well.. It's the 🦀 soup for me. Yum-my!!! I love seafood periodt. So that 🦀 soup is calling my name... Those hot crussiant thingies too.... ❤️🐞
Saffron has lots of flavour and can be overpowering if you use too much 😊

Yes! I know nothing about Hmong food, it would be great to see Mikey trying it!!!
@@-jank-willson I get it but this is Mikey’s channel. Not everyone follows the same content creator. Just saying.

Post another food review from there. Was supposed to go a few years back and I never did:((
You videos are amazing 😊🇺🇸
Do you finish everything you get? Seems like alot of food in one day. What do you do if you dont finish your food?
