- One last try of Active Track, but after I rounded the corner of my garage, Faith was following me when she suddenly slammed into the wall and onto the concrete walkway, destroying the gimbal. I sent her to DJI for replacement on the Care Express plan. Rest In Peace, Faith. 😢

Thank you, Shaun. I hope I have better luck with "Hope". She just arrived yesterday. The wife said to be more careful with this one. I didn't have the patience to wait for Faith to be repaired. Hopefully, DJI can repair her and send her to a new home.

She suddenly slammed into the wall and onto the concrete walkway, destroying the gimbal and cracking the case. Fortunately, she was covered under DJI Care Refresh, but I decided to just use the Care Express and get a replacement. She's been getting pretty wonky with some of her obstacle avoidance and RTH runs. A few too many crashes, I'm afraid.
Dang Gary! Now what are you going to do?😢 That was sad to see her go.

I wasn’t expecting her to hit the wall atall, I thought she had just lost you on the tracking! Suffered some serious injuries then! That dji care refresh is a god send definitely always worth having! What’s the name of the new guy then? Faith was an absolute trooper for you, but took its toll on her! 🙂
The new one is "Hope". She just arrived today, and I hope she does as good as Faith did!

Dang man! That was really weird, eh? I read the other comments and they’re right. Faith did you proud for a while and I’m sure Hope will do the same. I’ve seen a few other videos on the 4 pro where the same type of thing happened. Not necessarily during a follow mission but I’ve seen a couple of them just fly right into a wall for no apparent reason. Really strange. Anyway, what’s the care express you mentioned? I have care/refresh but I don’t recall the express part.
Thanks Kevin. With DJI Care Refresh, we have the option to just have the drone replaced with a new one in leu of repair for just $69.

Unfortunately, that was the last flight of that drone. I just received the replacement yesterday.
Yea it was a matter of time, to risky? hope you both the Care fresh pack from dji, we all done that, learning lessons 🎉😢
Yes, gotta love that DJI Care Refresh! Well worth the low price they charge for years of enjoyment, both with my Mini 2 and Mini 4 Pro, used them several times.
Have DJI send you an Avata instead. Much more robust and suited to your flying environment.
@mikekircher0 - LOL ain't that the truth! DJI needs to replace Gary's much abused forest-tortured toy with either a soft foam Nerf version or one constructed of indestructible titanium! 🤣🤣🤣
I'd love to have an Avata 2, but too expensive. The Mini 4 was replaced for just $69. 😉
