It really can't be understated just how big of a deal that heel turn at Bash of the Beach was. Younger audiences may not understand it now, but back then, it really was the catalyst for the Monday Night Wars which culminated in the single greatest era of all time in wrestling, the Attitude Era. Put simply, without the Hogan heel turn, there would be no nWo. Without the nWo. Vince isn't forced to make his product more edgier and with the 90s aesthetic.
