Hello, firetiger702. That is a great question. The triangle part on the Shark Cordless Detect pro is not able to be emptied, but it will not affect the performance of the vacuum.
Hello, Bleh12545. That is a great question. We are taking a look into your inquiry regarding that section of the dust cup on the IW1000/IW3000 series. We will be responding to you with more information.
OMG this triangle filter thing is doing my head in!!!! I’m happy to read these comments as I’m not the only one trying to empty it. Please tell me someone has talked to shark and been giving assistance. This is not ideal and looks SO NASTY
Hi there. The triangle in the dust cup is meant to alter the geometry within the dust cup in order to assist with a better cyclonic motion during vacuuming and emptying. Although unaesthetic, this does not affect performance.
Hi, I've only had my detect pro for a few months, and the little triangle is nearly full with horrible grey dust. I'm glad I've seen this because I've been trying to empty it. How ridiculous it can't be emptied as it looks disgusting and as for needed for cyclone ok but why is it hollow and see through surly a solid triangle would be better really not happy.
@Seansplace69 Hi did you find a way to clean it all? I don’t own one myself yet as I’ve been on the fence since I’ve read about the issue which seems to be a poor design choice.
Hi, there. We're sorry to hear you're dissatisfied with your Shark Detect Pro dust cup. This part can't be emptied, but it won't affect the performance.
@SharkHome wow, really, that is your take on the matter 🙄. The one very major selling point of your vacuum is the look you're telling me. You designed a lovely looking vacuum that should take pride on show in a home because of the self emptying design having a horrible triangle of dust and dirt on show in centre stage is acceptable I now have to explain to anyone who looks at it. I would 100% not bought you vacuum if I knew this before I did. If this is your attitude, I would hate to see the state of your car 😁
@@Seansplace69 in my humble opinion Shark should be offering a recall on these to fix the issue and ensure the triangle section is sealed so people don’t have the issue.
0:33 There is a weird transperant plastic thingy inside the dust bin that is getting filled with hair and dust and no matter what I do I can't reach inside of it to clean it. Is this supposed to be like that!?

Great question! Once you press the brushroll release button and slide the brushroll out of the nozzle, clear any blockages and remove any debris from the brushroll and floor nozzle. Tap off loose debris and wipe the brushroll clean with a dry towel. You can handwash the brushroll if needed, using only water, and then let it air dry completely for at least 24 hours. When the brushroll is dry, reinstall it into the nozzle by inserting it into the nozzle until it clicks.

The difference is you only empty the big canister maybe once month, and it self empties for you on the stand in between. The hell I've been going through to empty my Tineco A11 Master, every single time I need to empty it's also small dust bin, drove me to try this model out. Plus this has an anti tangle brush head and I'm so tired of having to pull hair off the brush roller, several times w/ the Tineco. I will never get a brush roller model again, not w/ 3 cats and my long hair.
There is a black accessory holder for attachment on the wand but none of the attachments fit on it?! I have the costco version. am i doing something incorrectly?

@@SharkHome model IW3615 from Costco with two attachments and auto empty base station. Has flex wand feature. Thank you for getting back to us. The crevice tool should be store on the accessory holder with the narrow opening pointing toward to top. You may need to push it into place.
