I've ported one saw, and I knew right away that the port jobs on those cylinders were total bull$hit. Whoever that is should be exposed. Guys are spending their hard earned money on that thinking they're getting a great product for a great price.
Personally, since I'm not confortable practicing porting on a cylinder, I would just go for a very conservative porting, or I would just go for a muffler port polishing, instead of ruining an oem cylinder that way; or at least to experiment a bit I would try on cheap chinese cylinders, not on oem, or quality aftermarket parts... People are crazy sometimes🤷🏻♂️ Edit: at least since I do a lot of repair on aluminum casting I would be able to fix that shit, but it's probably not worth my time
I am 63 a trained mechanic and that porting is not that like all the me too guys think. There seems to be no method to all the madness.I can make a stock saw run so fast and hard and strong I won't put a unlimited coil on it because I don't need the Extra wear and tear.

#1 - It's 1 thing to be professional Re someone else's porting but if this guy STOLE parts outta someone's saw, swapped-down to inferior aftermarkets, that's straight-up textbook theft, it's not "nice not to put him on blast" it's nice not to file legal charges....I'm the last to ever advocate talking-ill but if I'm understanding that right it's not even about the silly craftsmanship w/ a grinder it's legitimate theft/fraudulent business practices that everyone should be lucky enough to know to avoid IMO. #2 - "Starts on the transfers and gives-up" yup sadly looks like he forgot or didn't care... I'd say that that itself betrays a flawed-approach to transfer-porting in general though, I'd LOVE your advice on this (as a newb w/o a right-angle grinder so only lowers & tunnels on my menu's ;D ), but I'd NEVER just "do 1 side's lower" in its entirety, I move "in pieces" / by area, from each side back&forth, to ensure EVEN-NESS in my transfers....I cannot help but think that uneven transfers are SIGNIFICANTLY more serious an affect (negatively) on the engine than *any* possible gains from the intervention, being dead-on symmetrical is requisite (and why I don't bother trying to 'touch up' my uppers w/ a regular dremel anymore, I just enhance their flow via their tunnels & back-end depth, not window shape...even the 100mm shaft bits, cut to 70mm to just-barely fit, have too much wobble to be used effectively, can show the ruined jugs to prove I did try!!) #3- ROFL at the 'bath salt muskrat' that's totally in my vocabulary now!!
I just noticed that Holy shit lol... I was sick for a few days and all the sudden I got a video with 80k views and its just some random video 🤦♂️ no nitrous saw or expansion chamber nothing like that... just a random nothing special video... man RUclips is crazy brother
You should put the guy out there. He knows he did shit work. He should suffer the consequences of his choices. The people are the ones that will suffer.
There is a big difference between a professional and someone that can do it. I wonder how many expensive off the shelf 461-2,,660 etc have gone down this road. That would be a super suck on a brand new $$1500 saw.
Wow, I’ve never ported a cylinder in my life but I reckon I could do a better Job than that just from watching your videos………if I had the tools to do it that is
you could do a better job with a hammer and chisel my man... that 026 is the worst i have ever seen and that is coming from a guy that has seen some real gems lol
No you are not professional for not calling him out, you're an enabler. By not making his name known all you are doing is protecting him from the consequences of his actions.
Is that chassis bare, treated metal? Have seen that finish in your vids & presumed it was a metal-tone coating, if you got a raw finish to work I'd greatly appreciate any details you could provide!! Would totally be on that (am guessing you probably just had the case apart and soaked it in solvent stripper....and I don't wanna take my case apart for that...hrrrmmm) I love that my instinct was to watch this as my first video while doing a cylinder here, IE "ok port so that it's OK for camera" ROFL, you know how sometimes something can look bad on camera despite being fine by-finger (maybe that says something about over-reliance on the finger for smoothness-detection....though I doubt it....I'm pretty OCD here I even give my rings' edges the slightest rub with >400g paper before ever putting them in and am actually using "break in only" ring on my current build, to be swapped right out shortly so the Caber ring won't take as-much of the initial break-in loss, I *think* this'll help but who knows maybe the piston//cylinder are 'bedding-in to one another' and keeping the matching/beginning set is optimal...we'll see I'll be playing with both through the coming week!) Thanks again for all the great vids, realllllly hoping there's a simple enough way of getting the crnakcase paint off w/o needing the case dissembled, I like your RIT video and I do RIT on all of my saws or most anyways, think you're the 1st person I've seen who's got more "flamboyant" (cool/dope/whatever) saws than my own, yours actually earn it in every way possible though it makes me feel like I have a lightning bolt sticker & muffler tip on a 4-banger Honda :P
Despite all the other wonderful stuff done to that cylinder, how exactly was that exhaust port gonna work?? I mean it had more chance of making a blast in the exhaust rather in the actual cylinder... sorry but even i would do a better job with just a hand file and a big drill😂
I will if he doesn't make it right... im a business and I gotta be careful... im already pushing the limits by showing his work... people feed their families doing these builds and I get it... the guy that got ripped off has a family to feed too but thats why I put this up... its a clear warning

People are crazy sometimes🤷🏻♂️
Edit: at least since I do a lot of repair on aluminum casting I would be able to fix that shit, but it's probably not worth my time
Do you sell ms260 ported cylinders?
Custom stuff right there. Perhaps maybe said person should take a seat and take notes.
I am 63 a trained mechanic and that porting is not that like all the me too guys think. There seems to be no method to all the madness.I can make a stock saw run so fast and hard and strong I won't put a unlimited coil on it because I don't need the Extra wear and tear.
No half sends around here 😂😂😂
😂😂
Stealing oem 200t parts is grounds for dismisal... id be at his front door showing him how country folks roll
I like how your intake has that arrow looking thing idk what to call it I’m not going to lie man I know nothing when it comes down to basic porting I just squat an shit an pray it don’t hit my foot I seriously would like to Lear but I’ve ruined 2 066 cylinders 1st hanging a ring 2nd I went to far so I kinda ran out of funds
I'd say that that itself betrays a flawed-approach to transfer-porting in general though, I'd LOVE your advice on this (as a newb w/o a right-angle grinder so only lowers & tunnels on my menu's ;D ), but I'd NEVER just "do 1 side's lower" in its entirety, I move "in pieces" / by area, from each side back&forth, to ensure EVEN-NESS in my transfers....I cannot help but think that uneven transfers are SIGNIFICANTLY more serious an affect (negatively) on the engine than *any* possible gains from the intervention, being dead-on symmetrical is requisite (and why I don't bother trying to 'touch up' my uppers w/ a regular dremel anymore, I just enhance their flow via their tunnels & back-end depth, not window shape...even the 100mm shaft bits, cut to 70mm to just-barely fit, have too much wobble to be used effectively, can show the ruined jugs to prove I did try!!)
#3- ROFL at the 'bath salt muskrat' that's totally in my vocabulary now!!
Should expose him so that no one else get the same thing
Bro . . . Out him. We don’t want to send a saw to this dude not knowing
New shirt for ya. "Compression Matters" coming soon!
That hole in the intake is a blue tooth Boost port..
Mcdouble 😂😂thats one impressive 1121 cylinder 🤷🤦♂️
Is the base of the 026 sanded?
Your blowing up John
I just noticed that Holy shit lol... I was sick for a few days and all the sudden I got a video with 80k views and its just some random video 🤦♂️ no nitrous saw or expansion chamber nothing like that... just a random nothing special video... man RUclips is crazy brother
@@johnscustomsaws I love it!
You got a real purdy exhaust hole there bud
Who was It John so I can stay clear? Cause I was going to have a couple of my saw done.
A lot, everyone with a dremel is a porter.
@@johnscustomsaws I’ll give it a try 😂
I think a hammer will be just fine! Just beat the shit out of it!😳🙄🥺🤣😂🤙🏾
No you are not professional for not calling him out, you're an enabler. By not making his name known all you are doing is protecting him from the consequences of his actions.
Thats got to be steel donkeys work thats the nickname i give him.his porting is absolutley shocking.
Maybe I've been far too critical of my port work🤔. Just so I have this right, this guy took money for this?
I know right, shit I would've paid em to NOT touch the saw!😳🙄💩🤭🤭🤫🤣😂🤙🏾
Is that chassis bare, treated metal? Have seen that finish in your vids & presumed it was a metal-tone coating, if you got a raw finish to work I'd greatly appreciate any details you could provide!! Would totally be on that (am guessing you probably just had the case apart and soaked it in solvent stripper....and I don't wanna take my case apart for that...hrrrmmm)
I love that my instinct was to watch this as my first video while doing a cylinder here, IE "ok port so that it's OK for camera" ROFL, you know how sometimes something can look bad on camera despite being fine by-finger (maybe that says something about over-reliance on the finger for smoothness-detection....though I doubt it....I'm pretty OCD here I even give my rings' edges the slightest rub with >400g paper before ever putting them in and am actually using "break in only" ring on my current build, to be swapped right out shortly so the Caber ring won't take as-much of the initial break-in loss, I *think* this'll help but who knows maybe the piston//cylinder are 'bedding-in to one another' and keeping the matching/beginning set is optimal...we'll see I'll be playing with both through the coming week!)
Thanks again for all the great vids, realllllly hoping there's a simple enough way of getting the crnakcase paint off w/o needing the case dissembled, I like your RIT video and I do RIT on all of my saws or most anyways, think you're the 1st person I've seen who's got more "flamboyant" (cool/dope/whatever) saws than my own, yours actually earn it in every way possible though it makes me feel like I have a lightning bolt sticker & muffler tip on a 4-banger Honda :P
Despite all the other wonderful stuff done to that cylinder, how exactly was that exhaust port gonna work?? I mean it had more chance of making a blast in the exhaust rather in the actual cylinder... sorry but even i would do a better job with just a hand file and a big drill😂
Did he make it right
Put them on blast an honest mistke is 1 thing ripping people off is another
Wow just wow!!!!!
Maybe that hole in the side of the intake is for injecting nitrous. 🤣
Tell us who did the work, hate to have this builder screw other people over. I'd be pissed if I sent a saw and it came back like that.
I will if he doesn't make it right... im a business and I gotta be careful... im already pushing the limits by showing his work... people feed their families doing these builds and I get it... the guy that got ripped off has a family to feed too but thats why I put this up... its a clear warning
Poor Oem cylinders especially the Mahle..😪
What's wrong with Mahle oem cylinders as they have made them for husqvarna and stihl on some of the best saws both companies ever made and the newer stuff that isn't mahle is junk
Cmon. Any idiot can see that that kind of work is being done by a bored homeowner. No way a person in business could reasonably expect that this work is passable by even the most meager standards . I’d tell the guy to keep it and file in small claims court. It’s easier than you think
