Great message! Thank you! I used to feel upset, mad, frustrated and depressed sometimes in my relationship. I wouldn't feel happy and wouldn't feel that my needs are being fulfilled. So that's why I'm taking some space right now from a 10 year relationship, (it hasn't been easy these past few weeks)....because I have my goals and my plans for my future and he doesn't seem that he ever did or even talk about it unless I do so i just want to now focus on me, my kids future.

Beware of love bombing, and guys who are too perfect.
My ex was a covert narcissist, and had a secret hard core porn addiction, cheated on me online and gave $150k to a romance scammer (some of the money was mine and my family). He left me three weeks before the wedding. I even had to declare him missing with the Police because he did not even leave me a letter. We found him in less then 12 hours in another country. Two days before he went he let my parents pay bills for the wedding without saying a word. I was with my ex five years seven months and he was lying to me from the third date. He told me lies about all his family and friends in an effort to either play the victim or the hero and I fell for those lies.
Some NPD people don't obviously hit those ques above because they enjoy mind games and they need you to praise them constantly. So they buy you nice gifts for example. They listen to you intently to figure out how to emotionally manipulate you. - Kristy

If the man in my life arouses negative feelings in me, is he always to blame? At present I am experiencing that his behavior brings up old childhood wounds that normally slumber peacefully inside me, but in the closeness of a relationship the pain of abandonment and powerlessness in conversation, originated by my father, who left our family when I was a child, bubbles up powerfully when my partner withdraws himself by leaving 2 days earlier than agreed - without any quarrel in advance - and hardly calling or texting. So while this is very painful to me, I see it as an opportunity to deal with my old wounds. Also the relationship is long distance (600 km) and only 2 months old (we met 3 weekends), and he is now withdrawing again to take a decision whether to open up to a serious relationship with me. So how does all this sound to you, Joe? Run or stay? We are in our 40s.

while this is mostly true sometimes the reason for these feelings can sometimes manifest from deeper personal feelings from past abuses this is neither the man our the woman's fault and should be properly dealt with at a psychiatric facility again either the man woman our both may have these issues and dealing with them should take priority over any current relationship unless the partner is willing to play a supporting role without judgment which is rare
