That's what got me about this song. It made me feel things. Between the cutscenes where it plays and it popping up in memorable moments, this song cemented itself in my brain.
The best song ever hands down. I have the most diverse taste of music but this song I listen to on repeat driving all day. This game has truly changed my perception of life and day to day interactions.
This song brings me back to my train hoping days, camping in the woods , playing for change , just looking for something, never found it and had to settle down , but have no regrets, this game hit so hard and this song was perfect
I walked the Camino some while back. For anyone who doesn't know, it's the longest footpath in the world, spanning a couple thousand kilometres (I didn't do all that, though, just 160k.) I met lots of people. Some nice, some not. The rhythm of your walking stick would match theirs as you talked and walked and told each other of what led you here. Sometimes you'd meet them again, sometimes you'd even meet people who knew of the people that you met while walking. Played through this game yesterday, and it gave me the same feeling. Getting to know all of the characters, their motivations, who they did what for, and eventually splitting paths, was like many of the friendships I made on my journey. When I was 9 miles from crossing the border, it felt like the final day, when I was a 20k walk away from Finisterra. For the uninitiated, Finisterra means the end of the world, and when you reached there and looked over the coast, you were convinced there wasn't anything past that. There couldn't. It was just the blue of the sky and sea meeting. You saw something special, and more importantly, you earned it. To everyone who just looked at a picture on Google or who took a bus or something, it seems so plain, but it saves a little extra glint to the people who made the effort. I chose the mountain trail as my escape, the first time around, and when my little guy crested the cliff, and saw all of the little Petria lights, reminding him of how far he had come, I knew that the scope of what they had accomplished had hit them. I urge everyone who loves this game to try walking the Camino, if you can. You don't have to be religious (I'm not, and knew people who weren't), you just have to know that what will be waiting for you will be worth it, like how you knew that Road 96, and the end of that, would be worth it for your little hitch-hiker.
The Lyrics are a very true fact. It feels like I want to go out, Explore, and wanted to be free. I keep so long stay at home for this lockdown situation. But this song, Beautiful. Like I always keep repeating this song, Like I'm in a dream. This Song is So Beautiful.
Yeah, I feel the same. I've been isolating for like a year and half now. I can hear the road calling me... I just want to go... Don't know where or why... just go... just to be on the road... I have (some) plans for when the global situation gets better... just travel... see the world...
Finished the game yesterday and already missing it. It was a great journey and I loved it. It had some cool characters (Zoe best Girl 2021) and an absolutly amazing OST! But I gotta... I doubt hardly this game has "thousand endings". Might play it again to see the other endings. But I think it won't have more then 5 endings. But still, loved the game, loved the journey. Ending was... okay on my end. But you know... it's about the journey and the memories you make, not the ending of it :)
Yeah, I feel the same. I think the way it was advertised is a bit misleading.. The game is not as random and each road trip is not as unique as the devs would like us to think, but that takes nothing away from the value of this piece of art. I think of it as a more "pre-crafted" experience, not a randomly or procedurally generated rouge-like, if that makes sense. Now I think of it as narrative experience like Life is Strange. It is a beautiful piece of art, too. I'm glad I picked it up. Oh, by the way, play Life is Strange, if you haven't already! If you liked the feels this game gave you, you'll love that game! :)
I also don't think they meant it as in thousands of endings. More like thousands of different paths to take, so the story isn't always the same. Sure there might only be a good bucket full of actions until you've played through all the scenes, but if you randomize them it can create a completely different story.
@@Thunderbolt479 a lot? It literally has 3 main endings. Othar than that only a slight variation of how the cutscene plays, how that confrontation of that 3 characters goes and 1 character can return or not depending on your previous choice. That's pretty much it. Somewhat disappointing when the game and devs try so hard to sell you the illusion of choice and that every road trip is unique. (Not really.) ...but this takes away nothing from the game's value. This is a beautiful narrative game, it's just not that random and unique is all. It's pretty linear once you realize it.
I first heard it when I entered the campground and was desperately searching for the music tapes just to listen to this song again. I found it and soon after was picked up by John and was just talking to him. I had the option of playing a song before progressing to the next part of the game and I played this song and was just vibing with John while admiring the sunset we were driving towards. It was so nice.

This is one of the many soundtracks from Road 96 that is very touching and heartwarming to hear. I don't know why or how, but it somehow makes me feel nostalgic. I've never been so touched by a soundtrack before and that is why Road 96 stands up from the crowd. Very beautiful game, I recommend it a lot. Can't wait for what the devs do next.
I randomly decided to try this game on gamepass, and I had no idea what to expect. It ended up being one of the best gaming journeys I’ve ever had to the pleasure of experiencing,
It already started for me... When the game first came out I played it with my little brother but our parents split up and my mom took my brother and I don't think I'll be able to see him in a long time. This was one of the last things we did together and now this song makes me cry 😞
This game awoken something in us; smplicity, joy of life, meeting new people and hanging out with them, the ability to move around and discover actual life being minimalist. We missed this so much with modern life smart phones and social media. Free of hundreds of notifications and different accounts and contacts...cant wait to hit the road :)
I grew up in a small country town first time taking a 6hr road trip by myself to Nevada I had this on my iTunes since first playing Road 96. So being alone with the sunroof open in the desert driving seeing a city in the distance in the middle of nowhere this song really hit home from ocean waves to desert sky, summer nights I know the road is my home.
The worst part about this is honesty I'll never be able to experience it ever again. The first time you hear this song is just so fitting to start the journey
I actually teared up a little when I first heard this song in-game.. brought up so many good memories before covid when me and the boys used to always go on a roadtrip
This game is actually so underrated, i bought it just to see what it was as I never heard it, and it turned out to be much better than i expected it to be.
I played this game a while back and got the song stuck in my head recently and couldnt remember what it was from. This is my destination after feverishly searching
This song makes me miss something I was born too late to experience. A time in history when you could find yourself in a small town, and go to the local watering hole and wash dishes for a couple of days for some food and maybe a place to stay. A time when you could make your way across America if you had two good feet, and a solid head on your shoulders. Maybe it was fake, or exaggerated, but I grew up hearing stories and watching movies that told of a time when you could backpack across America to find a place you belonged. Now, though, that era has mostly ended. Franchises and Big Box stores have killed that kind of thing.
This game was the first game that I played on my steamdeck. It was a very buisy time for me, so there was nothing better then after a long day of work getting in bed and playing this game. A cherished memory

What a song... feels like I've heard it in every life so far
This game inspires me to be free on the road and take risky adventures. I wish there were more games just like this ❤😢
The song represents the game so well, especially Zoe’s story
I got this game for free and its become an instant fav with this song now being #1 on my list of songs i would consider to be an anthem for my life. May the Universe eternally bless those who had a hand in creating this game. Thank you.
I love you guys in the comment section! This game and this song are absolute gems. I wish you all the very best in all your adventures 💙🏞
@@13TescoMealDeals I join you 5 months later, just finished the Game and oh my lord it was so good ;-;
Thanks homie, you too. May your road be pleasant, the sky clear and the friends plenty
This song can really be listened to all the time without getting tired
Finished this game last night and had to look up this song

This song gives me a feeling I never knew I wanted.
One of the very few video game songs to make it into my regular listens.
Fav song in this game it just fitted the mood almost anywhere u go also makes me a little emotional.
I just finished this game, and it is phenominal. The stories, the songs, the gameplay, the ART! This game needs so much more attention
This song almost makes you want to leave everything behind and just hit the road with out a plan.
...😢
I play this song in my shop before work every day pretty much, much love.
1:29 The chorus of this song is such a bop! What a great song.
awesome song, didn't even play the game lol, found it by accident from autoplay
Pretty normal, since the game isn't out yet.
This song brings me back to my train hoping days, camping in the woods , playing for change , just looking for something, never found it and had to settle down , but have no regrets, this game hit so hard and this song was perfect
Seriously fell in love with this song.
This game is a gem. The visuals and the soundtrack give me life is strange vibes and both games are amazing.
Só digo uma coisa, obrigado Alanzoka por me apresentar esse jogo fantastico!!!!!!

The most underrated game of 2021 with hands down the best soundtrack in over a decade❤
i will never forget this game. it was so much fun

It has a lot of endings but it's just small details that change, like certain characters being or not being there
Yeah, I feel the same.
It actually has a lot of endings, as every choice you make impact the way the story of the game goes.
(Not really.)
...but this takes away nothing from the game's value.
It was so nice.
this song made me cry after finishing the game, thx for all
This song make me cry 😢 It is so nostalgic. This game is one of my favorite one by faaaar 'cause I love the story of the game, of those caracters
(Sorry if my english is not perfect)

Such a perfect song for the game 🖤🎶
Just finished first chapter and I'm already in love with it.
This song doesn't quite make me cry but my eyes definitely fill up, this song is full of emotion i love it
This song just give me a feeling of happines and tranquly when I play the game, it combine very unexplanble well, even when in the game everything is going to it's end, this song gives so much more life the the world the game is ser in, increadible song, increadible game, increadible character, everything is increadible
Such an amazing song... can't stop listening to this
Just finished the game, and am listening this song 24/7,love the game 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I randomly decided to try this game on gamepass, and I had no idea what to expect.
It ended up being one of the best gaming journeys I’ve ever had to the pleasure of experiencing,
This song will give us massive nostalgia in a few years
(I Guess it’s already started, haha)
It already started for me... When the game first came out I played it with my little brother but our parents split up and my mom took my brother and I don't think I'll be able to see him in a long time. This was one of the last things we did together and now this song makes me cry 😞
@@joyconbulb3743 damn man sorry to hear it, hope your doing good
This game awoken something in us; smplicity, joy of life, meeting new people and hanging out with them, the ability to move around and discover actual life being minimalist. We missed this so much with modern life smart phones and social media. Free of hundreds of notifications and different accounts and contacts...cant wait to hit the road :)
i love so much this song.
this type of song makes you want to go out on some adventure
I grew up in a small country town first time taking a 6hr road trip by myself to Nevada I had this on my iTunes since first playing Road 96. So being alone with the sunroof open in the desert driving seeing a city in the distance in the middle of nowhere this song really hit home from ocean waves to desert sky, summer nights I know the road is my home.
The worst part about this is honesty I'll never be able to experience it ever again.
The first time you hear this song is just so fitting to start the journey

This game is actually so underrated, i bought it just to see what it was as I never heard it, and it turned out to be much better than i expected it to be.
This song is my favorite and it helps me get rid of stress and cheers me up also I really want Road 96
“The road is my home”

I'm soooo falling in love with this game and also the soundtrack 😍
This is the only song to make me shed a tear
And this song has done it twice
It speaks to my soul, the writer is a true genius
Been feeling the exact same lately, even though I'm not American lol
Play the song while you're on the road this is probably one of the most comfortable songs I've ever heard
I am so grateful for this game and this song ♥.

one of the most underrated games EVER
i just started this game via the game pass and i can say that. it's spectacular! I have to thank very much the game pass that made me discover this gem
Played the first two parts last night. Now I can't get this great song out of my head. Brilliant, and works well with this game. In fact, probably the best tune I've heard in a game. The others are also brilliant what I've heard so far.
I can't wait to show this game to my own kids one day when they're old enough. Beat the first playthrough as of the day of posting this comment. Looking forward to playing it over and over.
