hey Swiss! please check out juhu aerodrome(VAJJ) in mumbai, it has a 3000ft runway and is right in the middle of the city and is also right next to the main airport with almost the same runway config which has led to some scary incidents

Please do a Video on GILGIT AIRPORT in Pakistan it has a short runway located at the end of a slope and high mountains surrounding it. Pakistan International Airlines operates The ATR-72 here

This is the highest civil airport, but there is a higher military airport called Dalaut Beg Oldi in India
Adhit Ranjan Dalaut Beg Oldi is an ALG (or just an airstrip). So by definition it is not an airport. But yes it is the highest place where an aircraft has landed.
