I think since you are amazing at building you should take any world in the sims three and destroy all the houses (and public places if wanted) and "create your own world) without havering to through enter troubles of actually laying the set up and everything! Like if you agree!
ericfrom50 as long as you have the expansion pack that the items came with or have bought any of the store stuff that he has used in this build you should be fine. if you don't the sims game will replace the item with something you do have.
I am trying to find out how I can save a copy of the dorm I built to the edit town lot library so I don't have to rebuild anytime I start a new game. Do you know how to save it?
This looks gorgeous!! And I love how you put in the dormitory a cafe, a library, etc. this way, Sims don't have to go all around Sims University to have access to these places !! Wonderful idea! It really gives the "campus" feeling, like a mini-city in one location :D

I was searching through pictures of Sims 3 dorm rooms on Google to get some ideas, and I came across this (linked to the Sims 3 BlogSpot) and was absolutely blown away. Now that I've seen this, I'm going to try and build something similar to it. Too bad this isn't a real dormitory, because if it was part of a college that I'm interested in attending, I'd go to this dorm! I'm not even joking!
I love the feel of this entire build and the way that in a sense this lot is not just a dorm but an area of community that you would most likely find in a university town. If only the sims 3 let you build multi-type lots. Oh Well! Sims 4 work on it! Anyway this is a brilliant build and once my game starts working again I'd love to download it. I agree with the modern vs traditional take. I find that people who really like the traditional aesthetic are more concerned with how the outside of the building looks when it's literally what's on the inside that matters. Square boxes are just more efficient for fitting furniture and will feel less cramped as less space is wasted.

Amazing to me how even with all the packs Sims 4 has released and in 2023, Sims 3 is still objectively so much better as a game. The only things Sims 4 does better is CAS and buildmode. That's it, so to play sims 4 instead of the better game you're sacrificing depth, detail, content and everything else just for those two things. But even with a less user friendly build system people came up with awesome designs like this. Hell, you could build entire apartment buidlings in Sims 4 from scratches with elevators and all, but in Sims 4 you don't have that freedom even if the build system is more user friendly or intuitive, like everything else, more limited. And I didn't include emotion system because although it's another thing Sims 4 has going for it, they screw it up by making being happy the default state and sims switch between emotions too frantically most time you walk in and out of a room and your sim switches emotions, so in the end it's another meaningless thing, just like how relationships in Sims 4 are absolutely meaningless.

I'm in love with this dorm, but I kinda felt like some of the rooms where too boyish, and maybe you should've had a room with a artsy theme, and a science geek, maybe a another girly room like a fashionista kinda theme, and maybe a hippie. But when I download this dorm I'll probably change the decor around a bit, overall this is an amazing dorm
