    When I have something that I need garlic butter on, I just take a 2x tablespoons of butter or margarine, add a third or a tip of a tablespoon of garlic powder, 1/3 teaspoon parsley or dill flakes, place in the microwave for about 30 seconds on high, make sure it’s melted into a liquid, take out and stir every now and again until it cools. When it cools, is when it thickens but if it’s hot and a liquid, use a rubber basting brush and brush your toast, baguette or drip on your casserole. Works great for me. You can make butter into anything you want without the parchment paper. If it doesn’t work for you, well, I guess you didn’t graduate grade 8 yet, sorry for your lack of luck. Have a nice day.

    Question... Because it really bugs me!
    Why do Americans say 'erb instead of the true pronunciation of Herb with the 'H' clearly enunciated ? Please explain...
    Rant over, loved the recipe :)

    • @evolvingtable9462
      @evolvingtable9462  3 года назад

      LOL. No idea why. But sometimes my hubby and I call them HHHHHERBS (enunciating the H) as if it's the wrong way to say it haha.

    • @Funexpected
      @Funexpected 3 года назад +2

      The same reason you don't enunciate the H or R in honour. Why do you speak the word HONOUR with a silent R when is clearly part of the word?

    • @LJW55
      @LJW55 3 года назад

      @@Funexpected When I have heard it pronounced "erb" by people around me and I pull them up on it I generally get the answer, "It comes from the French so the "H" is silent".
      The word herb comes from the Latin word "Herba" meaning grass. There is no silent "H" in Latin.

    • @davidpadilla8483
      @davidpadilla8483 3 года назад +5

      @@LJW55 Languages change over time it's called the diachronic process. In Spanish hierba the H is not pronounced. In Italian it's erba, in Latin it is Herba, change is a beautiful thing. It keeps things from being boring and it's natural. Every country has it's own thing.
      If Languages never changed we would all be writing like Cædmon's Hymn. Lol try reading that.
