I am driving EX30 core single motor extended range, and I really like the power. The only downsides are rear and boot space. But I wish it had a real range of 600KM.
@dpfrmhell You could trade it in for a Zeekr X. Built at the same Geely factory in China on the same SEA2 platform but with 10cm extra wheelbase and 20cm extra length. Fixing the 2 issues you have with your EX30. Additionally it is way better equiped than the spartan EX30 and cheaper..at least in Australia. Of course it doesn't have a Volvo badge which is important in some circles.
Volvo is about the only company putting out ATTRACTIVE body styles. If the X30 had been available here last year, I would have bought one instead of my Tesla.

Unbelievable that the EX30 is so successful with its hi power consumption and very minimalistic interior. And as i see in various test the software isn't very reliable either. Made with us in Belgium as of spring this year to avoid EU taxes on Chinese cars.
If we’d manufacture a rebadged zeekr, we would have much bigger successes. Our software development is a fuking joke. My bonus is depends on the sell numbers.
Status is important to some. Geely who make the EX30 also make the Zeeker X on the same platform at the same factory. It has 10cm extra rear leg room and 14% more boot volume than the cramped spartan EX30 and is cheaper and way better equiped. But it is the EX30 that sold out while Zeekr is yet to make a dent.

The leading financial magazin in Sweden "Dagens Industri" now urges Li Shufu to sell off more shares to make Volvo less "chinese". Right now Geely owns 80% of Volvo cars (not Volvo trucks). The rest is owned by swedish pension fonds and individuals.

I like Volvo cars and I know they are very well engineered and built . However there's one thing that puts me off , and that's optics , Volvo cars just look dated and not up to date , they remind me of cars from 10/15 years ago .
Everything starts with small numbers, look at BYD. It might look different within 2 years with other European CM struggeling to produce enough affordable EVs

At least in the US the Volvo's are generally not reviewed well, more expensive for less range. Which seems surprising given Volvo's strong reputation

Make a good product and the customers will follow. Yes I know many people still think Volvo is a Swedish made car and this helps with brand loyalty.

In 2024 Volvo sold 5k BEV in US. Polestar sold 13k BEV. Tesla sold 633k.
