It is pretty funny how many massive subdivisions (only the legal lots were ever created) there are out there, with only a couple people putting houses on the lots. The planners and people that invested in the property way back in the day really thought that it was going to be popular with the Hollywood crowd like Palm Springs was. Glad you got to hang out at the OB Farmers Market as well. As a SD local, we cherish those Wednesday afternoon/evening trips.
we used to go boating, fishing, skiiing in competition in the early days of the saltan sea [50s 60s] when palm springs was just beginning to get noticed and stars building there. what is a killer about that area are the sandstorms. the first it we got caught in one, you can't drive in it, and it destroyed the paint on my dad's car. so he bought a tarp and kept it in the trunk and we had to use it. saved the paint. this vid brings back lots of memories.

Mav...since you are in Southern California, here are a few places I have been that I found interesting. Joshua Tree, Allensworth State Park, Marina Del Rey (nearby boondocking), of course, Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear, driving up the Pacific Coast Hwy...to name a few. I found Allensworth State park quite a history story and it has campgrounds. If you are taking interstate 40 on the way out of California, Mitchell Caverns is kind of interesting. Before you get that far down the highway, there is an old mining town called Calico Ghost Town. Really out of the way, but Cerro Gordo Mines is something that I wish I could check out. Lastly, Kelso Dunes, in the Mojave National Preserve.
Another great video Mav. Pomegranate gave me a bit of ocd, next time cut in half across the middle and bang the back of it with a spoon, it will all come out with no mess, dyed fingers or pith. Keep on trucking bro 😎

going past portland a couple hours even would be a good trip.
💜💜💜 Mature beyond your years. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
This was a great video man. I watch all of your videos and this has been one of the better ones as of late. Don't get me wrong, your videos are great but this one was cool. Keep it up bro
Bro just pulled up to sandy shores like we wouldn’t notice
I don’t normally find this stuff interesting but for some reason you’re videos are super comforting :,))
*your oops
Another great video Mav. Pomegranate gave me a bit of ocd, next time cut in half across the middle and bang the back of it with a spoon, it will all come out with no mess, dyed fingers or pith. Keep on trucking bro 😎
Mav mentioned 💜🕊️ PRINCE 🕊️💜❗👍🏽 AWESOME.
💜🤘🏼💥
Your meal looked incredible ❤️
Kevin is talkative... He was too glad for the company. 😂
😂
Mav: “Oh that’s disgusting”
*Goes in for close-up shot* 😂
Mavs got some great judgement of character! Always finding such nice people!
"Looks like a set for a movie with Prince in it" hahaha. The most Minnesotan
@Joe King ur more of a Seattle thing
@Joe King explains why you think prince is a Seattle thing lol

If you're ever back in Socal I recommend camping out in Joshua Tree during the summer, i used to go out there alone for astrophotography those night skies never get old
much love Mav keep rolling out these amazing vids!
I also don’t drink and it’s so refreshing to hear someone else turn down a drink so confidently and politely 👏🏻
Love the videos! You’ve really inspired me to travel even if I don’t have a van, I’ve bought a wagon and am going to travel parts of Australia (where I’m from) since Covid has made it hard to visit over seas and Aus is strict. Have a blessed day you spunky man 💗
You are a really polite guy with a great personally. Thanks for sharing your amazing videos with us!👍😌
Mav, you do the most awesome, and creative camps. Oddly, my favorite is when you're shopping for food, because I know you;re gonna cook something amazing
This is just good vibes man… hope everyone is all good. Love 💯
Not skipping ads so I can help Mav even in the smallest thing I could do! Keep on Truckin’ Mav! 😊
I will have to look up how viewing or not viewing ads works to support. I hadn't thought of that.
Skipping ads doesn't matter
He still gets the revenue regardless. Assuming he isn't demonetized
Awesome. Nice meeting up with you at Bombay Beach. Yep - I'm the Kevin mentioned in this video - the old guy that talks too much. 😂
Just be careful Mav!
Talk about sketchy....this is the sketchiest place yet!!
He literally did a road trip through Mexico living out the bed of his truck I'm sure he'll be just fine lol
He is packing a pistol.
That was an awesome move sharing what fish you had with the other three people!👍🏼
Mav for sure got that thang on him if he walking into places like that solo

Mav this is one of your best video you've fun. This is why I watch your channel, to see stuff like this. Plus the respect you showed by not filming your friends, was awesome. Much love to you.
DON'T DO IT SPEED! DON'T GO IN THE H2O IT IS VERY DANGEROUS. Mav, where did your desire to visit Salton City come from? BTW, I scoped out the houses for sale there and it is unbelievable how cheap they are. They were actually decent looking houses listed on Gundaker. I read about the area and then I understood why they were so inexpensive. Mav, I must say that this was the first time that I was actually afraid for your safety. I just kept hoping all ended well and that you were safe. I care about you Mav. Now on to your next adventure. :-)
Why is it dangerous? Is it the people ? The guy in video said it was safe and he never had any problems
@@aaliyahx5081 but how do you know the people he met were safe? I half expected a gun or knife to come out.
@@travelgirl747 idek tbh that's why I asked I'm not from America. I'm from a relatively safe country
@@aaliyahx5081 l'm not from America but l doubt l'd do that in Australia either. Maybe if l was a guy. Maybe.
@@travelgirl747 omg we are literally neighbours HAHA
this is it, this is the video that solidified my need to do something like this. thanks mav, keep on truckin
Well Mav, you have bigger balls than King Kong!
Staying in an abandoned city, by yourself, in a truck that EVERYONE would love to have, is a scary thing to me, and I am 65 years old!
Hell, I won't even drive into St. Louis, Mo., that is only 40 miles from me.
I am sure you are aware of your surroundings. Just be safe.
What's wrong with St. Louis?
Agree I live in St Louis every city has crime
He has a nice pistol with him. No worries.
Those random dudes hanging out in the desert hit the jackpot when you ran into them! Damn there’s no way I would’ve shared that sword fish dinner!
