Thank you Lamont for giving voice to the forgotten victims of such vile crimes. It sickens me that you hear more about the criminals in these crimes than you do the victim. The perpetrator has a voice to defend themselves but no one gives thought to the fact that the victim is silenced. Thank you for all you do. Keep up the awesome work and please stay safe. God bless you.

Hey Lamont, I'm from a small town in North Carolina and there's a lot of people with the last name Bethea. Growing up, I always heard it pronounced as Bethea (Beh-thay). But anyway, Rainey had more than enough chances to turn his life around. It's unfortunate that lost both of his parents so young but after his last arrest he should have sobered up. He took the life of an innocent elderly woman in such a cruel way.

I've also watched the video where you've talked about some ppl saying things like "you must enjoy the RUclips money " or something like that and all I can say is you're damn right, I wish you'd get paid even more, you spend time doing the research, drive far away to get to those places and lastly but most importantly it's not free to travel all around the US to show all of us those places, places that most of us wouldn't be able to see otherwise. Those ppl just don't think about how much money you're spending (especially with the price of gas) before making such comments and they're what I would call trolls or simply ignorant people. Lamont you did a great job telling this story, you gave Lishia Edwards remembrance, by telling this story of how she died and where she’s laid to rest she will be remembered and not forgotten.💕🫶🏻
It is a shame that in so many crime cases the victims aren’t mentioned but the killer is constantly. The victims need to be remembered more.
Rest in eternal peace Ms. Lishia Edwards🕊💐
You stay safe out there on your journeys Lamont.🙂💟

Lamont, you need your own TV show doing this...I can't believe the major networks and producers haven't approached you to do a show. This would be an awesome weekly television show that you could do two stories per show....Damn Hollywood, what the hell yall waiting for...with all of the awful crappy shows the networks have on television, this would be great.

A brutal crime like this committed against anyone is terrible 😢 but against an elderly lady is HORRIFIC no matter the color of the victim or villain the punishment fits the crime.

Thank you so much for taking us on your cemetery walks, Lamont. You're such a kind and thought soul which we need more of. There's a newish channel called "Murder She Shed" where Holly finds some really obscure cases to present. She could use some subscribers so pop over and check her out, I like to think she's a real piece of Americana just like Lamont is uniquely a one of a kind National Treasure. Much Love ya'll. ❤

Lamont I don’t know if you have ever done anything on Dianne Masters who was killed by her husband and police officers that helped him hide her body. Dianne was my sister-in-law who lived in Palos Park Illinois and was killed in March 1982. You do a excellent job and show such respect for the victims I have found all your stories very interesting. Always following you and really learning so much about these people you have brought to us. Thank you.🙋‍♀️

This story is so convoluted. The guy clearly wanted to die and it was such a big circus. Sometimes nobody makes the Monster, it makes itself. The old lady was entitled to her last years and her dignity. You didn’t sugar coat it and it really speaks to survivor’s.

Thanks, Lamont for all your trouble, you go there and you show us the place where it happened, you show us the physical place where these people are buried. You honor them. It's great, what you're doing. The man was lucky that he was given the chance to die a catholic, and receive valid Sacraments by a priest. Most people today don't even have that chance anymore.

It's always baffled me how they determine that a rape actually happened AFTER the victim was murdered & not before.
I would venture to say the gallows were erected exactly where that statue of a head is. Towns have a sneaky way of camouflaging the spots of their darker history while still marking the spot.
