- Visiting Teppanyaki Akasaka in InterContinental-ANA Hotel in Tokyo to have a Superior (A5) Wagyu Sirloin Steak of 300g and their signature garlic rice.
I initially ordered the steak to be "medium" but asked the chef later to prepare the second half of the steak "well done"
Watching this while eating an 80-cent bag of beef-flavoured chips. The video really enhanced the taste, LOL.
You're living the good life my friend
Reading this while eating a 70 cent bag of chip flavored chips really enhanced the taste
Watching this while eating a bug that crawled up my leg. Don't worry, I sprinkled beef dust on it, a part of my monthly allowance.
LEGIT I WATCH THESE VIDEOS NO MATTER WHAT I EAT. Trick myself into eating that gourmet shit
HAHAHAHA BRO me too
The algorithm hasn't shown you in my feed for about a full year now, but I'm glad you're back!
I enjoy seeing the nuances in how the chefs prepare the steak in your videos. This chef applied proper sear and seasoning. That steak looked amazing.
Don't even really need much for a wagyu
@@tungi_halmegi why so salty?
100% agree!!!
@@tungi_halmegi there was more than steak that was cooked. keep the salt on the steak!!!
❤
I feel so comfortable watching this video
for $206 American, that's a heck of a deal. Great presentation, view and camera work.
No doubt thats one of the best steaks you'll ever eat, but more impressive to me is how clean and organized Japanese cooking and culture is.

It's a high end restaurant. What did you expect.
The cleanliness fir sure makes the whole meal......its going in your mouth so it is pleasant visual and reassuring

Wow..a towering fried rice..sure its crunchy..yummy
I love watching these Aden films, but dang, finally someone actually seasoned the steak! I don't care how expensive the meat is, but salt and pepper just gives it a much needed boost of flavor.
I thought pepper burns and should only be used at the end?
@@stevenr224 Pepper does not burn it just loses some of its flavor when it is cooked. That doesn't mean you shouldn't season your steak though.
I’ve had A5 before - flake salt is all you really need imo
I thought he went a bit overboard with the salt, overall.
U can season and u cant season
Bravo !

The steak looks delicious and the rest too...
Those little cubes of steak were cooked to death and beyond! :)
That's 187 USD. Honestly, I'd pay for that. That's an experience I've always wanted to try.
I thought its 27k USD 😂
I would love to eat there one day great steak and amazing vieuws:)
Mouthwatering as always 🥩
Awesome Video!
Now, that's some close ups! Good camera on this one. Fun to see the different chef techniques. Loved the chimney at the end.
Amazing food, culture, touch, nuisance and mindset!
what mindset?
All the Wagu steak places look like their medium cook is really medium rare. But, it looks delicious no matter what.
You don't get "Well done" in such establishments. Medium is automatically assumed to be medium rare.
I usually eat my steaks well done but I'd gladly make an exception...
You should learn what real steak temps are. This was perfect. Him ordering that steak well was like watching them burn money. I’m appalled
@@saltyzu8412 when are we gonna stop acting like well done steaks are bad
@@sebaschan-uwu they are shit. Dry. You like ketchup with them hillbilly?
"How do you want your steak?"
"1/3 rare, 1/3 medium rare, and the rest medium please."
apparently he wanted half medium and half well done, that's what he said in the description. I dunno how important it is to how "done" you cook wagyu thought since it's so fatty. seems like anything from medium rare to well done would taste good no matter what
Does it matter really? It's a block fat anyway.
Fast! use the sword!😊
@@papiezguwniak Yesh, A5 Wagyu is not for everyone. There's this idea that just because its primo and very expensive that it's a linear increase in satisfaction but some cant get over the fat content or the stark texture contrast of a steak with more bite to it.
@@papiezguwniak youve never eaten wagyu have you? Fat is what carries taste. Yes, it has a high fat content. To me you seem like someone that has never eaten anything but well done.

Dedication to perfection at everything this culture does. Great vid.
So elegant and mouth watering. Quite accomplished chef. Masterful.
Wow this chef was particularly brilliant.
Fancy rustic looking plates and the condiments come in some regular ol' off the shelf plain white bowls. It does look right
About $180 bucks looks like? Even if you don't got that kinda money to blow on an expensive wagyu lunch, it's probably worth it to get this kind of experience at least once in your life, at a great Teppanyaki place like this.
Yea man has to be an amazing experience
That sounds like a bargain for a one time experience
Almost AU$300.... Once in a life time, and worth every cent!
wait that was only 180 bucks? Thats way less than i thought it was gonna be.
That was 27,346 yen I'm hoping. So 208.93 in us dollars.

This exactly what I want to eat!
How much is this?
How do you want your steak?
Me: yes
A5 Wagyu in Japan cooked anything more than medium is a travesty. Love the video, though!
Lovely and not nearly as expensive as I thought it was going to be and I love the cleanliness. I like to see the food I'm going to eat cooked right in front of me. It's safer in most aspects.
Yeah I was surprised by the price - getting that much food and having a single chef tend to your meal for twenty minutes I was thinking it was going to be double what it turned out to be. I live in Las Vegas though so maybe I'm expecting things should be more expensive than they should be.
Yeah, less than $200 is pretty darn reasonable. Heck, even that steak alone probably costs several hundred dollars alone!
Watching this to make my gf a birthday dinner on my blackstone. Her personal hibachi and I want her to never forget it
$200 bill for that lvl of food and service is not to shabby imo
facts
Apparently japanese people are very cheap, and in general are very stingy when it comes to what they will pay for, so most things in japan are offered at a very low price otherwise people won't spend their money there. Westerners love to waste money.
what temperature of this cooking table? best wishes for everyone.
Because of the current $2¥ exchange rate, you can have wagyu steaks twice the size as last year.

its not that bad, they are busy cooking, plus all the sounds and smell of food being cooked and prepared make you third world hungry.
Another commenter said the chefs are likely too busy to care and that's true. Im a teppan chef myself and never think anything of people eating in front of me but if I do notice you smashing or finish the plate, I take that as one of the best compliments you can give besides a nice tip. If anything, the chef is probably the most nervous one since everyone is watching their every move.
@@righteousjack I agree with you about being nervous. However, with such small portions finishing these plates would not be much of a compliment as a bird could eat all of the food served here.
Does cutting the steak with that knife directly on the flat top not damage it in some way ?

An amazing lunch. And only $7.95 on the Thursday early bird special!
Wow! That looks AMAZING! BTW, now that is a MASTER Chef! Again, wow!

i always wondered this, but why do the chefs always dispose of the excess oil/fluid while the steak is cooking?
