Enjoyed watching this fellas. We have a deer camp out in Pigs Ear (off of Route 66) and we can’t wait to get back up there. It’s important to keep the tradition alive! God bless
i like when the deer are grouped up. in michigan usually happens toward the end of november. one time on thanksgiving i saw 24 does come by me in one group.

Great video. Love deer camp. Thats where memories are made. Its much more than the hunting itself. Look forward to Deer camp At my buddies cabin in upstate NY every year.
Those memories you carry with you are 3-fold. The guys that were your mentors that you idolized. Your peers that you grew up with in the same generation and you constantly are picking on each other, and the next generation that you are teaching the importance of respect, ethics and reminding how important these experiences are. Don’t ever take them for granted.
Good video. Nothing in this world better than standing around the campfire with friends the eve before the opener tipping them back and having fun, except filling your buck tag the next morning ! Good luck in the future.
Nothing like deer camp. As soon as we start packing to leave deer camp, I start getting excited about the next years camp! Our camp dates back to 1953.
Its amazing how you get that little kid at Christmas excitement knowing deer camp is close. Our camp doesn't have as much history as yours, but the experiences and memories are real.
Funny watching how other camps are from how it goes for me. I work all day Friday, by the time I get home from work and to my camp, it’s usually about 10pm. Start a fire, unpack my shit, and get to bed around midnight. Up at 4am tired as hell to go sit in the woods freezing my ass off all day in a tree while the wind is whipping by. Dark I’m back in my camp, to stoke the fire, eat something warm, and get to bed to catch up on some sleep. Then it’s the same routine Sunday, M, T, and Wednesday. Never leave the woods and can’t wait to get back to get warm, eat, and get to bed.
@@ss0073 I agree. Everyone’s experiences at camp are different. It’s fun to learn what others do. Deer hunting at our camp is fun and it’s the reason it brings all of us together. But shooting a deer isn’t the priority, it’s a bonus. Spending time with family and friends is first and foremost .
Love the video used to hunt Allegheny Forest Pennsylvania my younger days I really enjoyed it it's so true what you said about the difference between New York and Pennsylvania New York collects the money from all the hunting licenses and does nothing with it to help with fish and game Pennsylvania is so different The money goes back into the fish and game generated from the hunting licenses
I am really lucky to have my cousins include me in their hunting camp traditions. So happy that you enjoyed the video and stories. I am so fortunate to live right on the NY - PA border and get to hunt both states on a daily basis. If you only hunt your home state its difficult to realize how wildlife populations are managed so differently.
@@bearhunterjay I am new to the area although I have hunted other places in PA for years. Amazing how many guys gets I ran into the opening day of gun after COVID.
