felix and chan don't really see their family in person as much , like when the boys go home for holidays or days off they usually are the ones that stay together cause they can't just go home to australia like they did a few months ago (often they also go to the other boys family houses with them) so stray kids are each other's family in another level , this song is so fun and cute and a really fun way of getting to know them
I always get in my feelz when I think about Changbin taking Chan with him on the Seo family trip, or Binnie staying behind at the dorms during break rather than going home so he could keep Felix company and do stuff like go on their bike date. 🥲

Edit: mystic boy has the same meaning for a Japanese audience as wierdo would have! So Changbin is still calling him wierd, but in a way that works considering the difference in language
The song is made with korean lyrics first, then translated to japanese, but the translation doesn't always go word for word so if need be, they do change out words to fit the rhyme scheme or flow. I do find it interesting though when they change some to english vs japanese and it's something completely different. Like you said, Mystic boy for Lee know was something different in korean. Also, in the japanese version instead of Jutdae for Changbin's second one, they did Baby. I think Hyunjin's was also different - in japanese it's Prince, but the korean version says Genius (in english).
Do you know why they released the Japanese version first?
@@emylybandeira7907 as far as I’m aware, (I’m a baby Stay, could be wrong!!) it was a song chosen to be released on their Japanese album with All In I think. They have recently been releasing the “guide” version of several Japanese releases, which are in Korean. Like, Scars (Korean version released awhile ago I think), Circus (released Korean version on Maxident), and now we get Fam 😁
And in the Japanese vs. they call Felix “straykids master chef” (I assume a nod to Gods Menu) while on the Korean vs they don’t

I have always loved this song, but love the concert MV. It feels like it was literally made for the stage. Just celebrating their friendship, the inside jokes, the funny remarks. And I love that for a Korean mv we get subtitles.

They call Felix 'Masterchef' as he likes to bake while Lee Know is known as the 'Unreachable Visual' hence the Leonardo da Vinci reference.

You are correct. The Korean version has totally different lyrics meant to fit the members more as they are now I think.

I think they’ve just updated it cause it’s been a couple years so hyunjin was known for being 4th gen prince, and now it’s genius and artist.
I think nicknames have just updated
the korean version has slight different lyrics to the japanese version (they have to change the lyrics around a bit so that it still makes sense in a whole other language)
Funny thing, apparently Han wrote both his own shout out and Lee Know’s.
They had to change the lyrics a little for language differences! But I much prefer the Korean lyrics, it’s a lot more fun and most importantly Han is described to be a quokka and not a wallaby haha
Yeah there are are different lyrics for the Japanese version but they are equally cute 😁 Also, at least for the Japanese version, it was actually Han who wrote Lee know’s part (and seungmin’s) which makes more sense because Han actually is one of the only members that could get away with calling lee know weird haha. Changbin would get a glare at least and bang Chan would probably get a threat of some other form - all out of love of course
Someone corrected me in another comment that 3racha actually wrote the parts in korean and the Japanese lyrics were written by km-markit (thank you again!) I’m guessing the Japanese lyrics were based on the korean lyrics that the members wrote though since they are still singing about each other.
And Hyunjin would get threatened with toilet paper and 20 minutes in the air fryer.

Some of the words in the Korean version were different from the first-released Japanese track. And it seemed that they updated the words they used to describe one another, like Han praising Hyunjin's artistry and Changbin mentioning that Lee Know is weird, instead of a "mystic boy".
And this is from their concert itself when they first sang Fam Korean Version in Seoul.

Actually the thing with Leonardo da vinci is because if you google "Unreachable visual" you'll find only Lee Know's pictures. And all members of skz said the first time they saw Lee know they only thought he is really handsome. As for the weird thing if you ever watch some skz extra content like SKZ code or Finding SKZ you'll see Lee know has a pretty unique personality. He is very bold and savage sometimes. On lives with stays he ends it without any warnings for example. But we like him for that 🤣 Felix always cook brownies so we started calling him the "brownies boy" he used to cook those for the whole staff and even on Kingdom. We also call him "Sunshine" as he spreads a lot of positivity around him, gentle and caring type of personality.

This album is incredible. Idk if u know it but they ALL participated in producing for each of their solos with the help of others producers. The lyrics are 100% written by each member for their solos. I feel so proud to be a stay fr!
There is some differences in lyrics cuz they had to adjust words so the ritm won't change. But almost everything is supposed to mean the same or to describe the same feeling.

Sorry I’m missing premiers! Been working too much. But so glad you did this.
I wish I'd been able to catch this yesterday! Yesterday was the 2nd anniversary of my mom's passing and I had to go to a dear friend's funeral: knowing that I had this album to come home to was the one thing that kept me from breaking down. I'm so glad I get to go through it again with your reactions, because I know you're going wild over all the same points I did! And looking forward to joining the Discord, too!

Bro the current Japanese version isn't the same as the Japanese video anymore. They updated it. Which is why the Korean version was so different as well. They can't just leave a song like this with outdated notes on each other. Gotta keep it fresh. 😄
And personal observation, we known how Hyunjin feels about his stereotypical categorization, so, notice that the "prince" comment is completely gone from the song and now they talk about his artistry. ❤

Yeah I think Han wrote both lee know’s and seungmin’s but I don’t know any others. I also don’t know if different people wrote the Korean versions than the Japanese versions.
