So I'm not 100% sure what happened, but it seems like certain aspects of this was shadow nerfed. AFAIK, no written changes have released in the past few weeks that would indicate a nerf, but I've tested a bunch of different things and nothing seems to work anymore. I'm sure it'll have it's time to shine again in the future but for now, definitely look to other options.

I felt like I am killing it, and my pvp build is SLAYING.. To see that you confirmed all my good decisions, I just kept nodding with a smile on my face through out the video.. Well done..

Reload Rampage (Utility) Killing 2 enemies refills 2 bullets from inventory (no more than half of the mag), and grants +10.0% Weapon and Status DMG, lasting until the next reload Elemental Amplifier (Status DMG) Reloading an empty mag grants +10.0% Status DMG for 12 seconds, up to 3 stacks
Idk what I'm doing wrong but people are telling me that their Abyss Glance builds are reaching 90k DPS on their shooting dummies and the highest I can reach with tactical thrown & deviate out is like 23k.
I think the build has gotten a massive nerf and Once Human is like, nope, you should play shrapnel instead and no fun allowed. I got the same problem and my dps is topped at max 25k. I think its a normal thing that happens in games like these where they just suddenly nerf stuff
@ezreel9664 you keep your mods too? So if you keep your blueprints and mods, what's is there to grind for when the Season resets? Levels and materials with limited content because of time gate? Seems kind of redundant.
This is really helpful. Ive already been building into Frost Vortex including most of what you talked about, i just need to see what would be best to get my damage up.
I got the abyss glance on my first server but i pretty much used all controllers on normal silos, wasted more starchrom on useless gear but I knew the gun had potential but i never knew how much since everybody else just doing the icy rain. This is pretty good, thanks
@@Haaaterade what about the mods from nisa noc ? Lingering frost and shattering ice, they both have suffixes that give frost damage, frost vortex dmg, status dmg, pretty much best in slot suffixes?
Love this! Just such a shame I used all my starchrom at the beginning on stupid things :/ I tried out frost vortex a few days ago with the SMG and loved it - until I realized a silo easily used 1-2k bullets lol. So a build with the KAM is just amazing! REALLY good job bro!

totally get ur point in case of secondary. but the main reason most ppl use the crossbow is because a lot of ppl run crit amplifier builds and the crossbow gives an additional 30% crit rate. since u run a weakspot weighted build with main status dmg thos 30% crit rate r not important so taking the bulls eye pistol makes a lot of sense

This is the most versatile yet effective all round build. I think I'll build frost over shrapnel and burn as it has more overall benefits rather than singular target damage.

WIll i still do more dmg than the frost SMG if i dont perfectly do the rotation? its just going to cost alot of starchrom x.x the smg having much more ammo seems nicer but ur melting bosses faster than others ive seen so idk what to go with
@david9538 Nope. The multiple dummys are there just to show AOE DPS. You wanna watch your buff timers for things like covered advance and stack vulnerability and your deviant boost.

i went with this as well. I have everything you've mentioned already equipped besides the blue mod im going to try that as well. i also use the snowballs when times right for a little extra buff. but clearing whole groups of mobs feels much better than doing more weakspot damage on single targets in my opinion. I am not one for the "meta" i play what i enjoy and still hold my own and its much more fun.
Just saw another youtuber upload a video on this gun but they went in on weakspot damage and said the build was mid. Hopefully people find this video first instead since this is the right way to build it.
I have a 1 in 1 assembly - only the modules turned out much better, they all have damage and elemental status, but on a mannequin with all the buffs I deal damage no higher than 28-30 thousand. I can't figure out what the problem is...
What i d like to try is this Ar together with the Gulped Lore Sniper leaning heavily into ele dmg. The problem: Galore needs some kind of weakspots amplifiers for its max potential. The good thing tho, it is a 1:1 weakspot to UB crit dmg ratio meaning you can deal huge amounts of UB crits without any crit chance. Might be interesting to see that build.

Frost vortext apperantly doesnt work on some flying enemies like manibus or the flying goopy tentacle guys. Also, how much damage are you doing unbuffed?
I played F76 for a while (800 hours) and noticed that in this game it is possible to play with a small amount of HP with mods that provide a damage bonus. I'm testing it for now, but I'm curious if any of the RUclipsrs will discuss this topic.
@GuardianW1 It's definitely an option, especially with chloroarmor as a failsafe. My main thought on those however, are that there are mods that give you similar/the same benefits while not requiring you to remain under/over a certain % of health. Not to say they're not viable, just not preferable IMO.
Man I really wish I had the skills to build a website that actually lets you build your preferred status using all mods weapons and armor in the game so that you can easily see what stats you can have

This build is a lot of fun, other than the fact that some bosses are completely immune to freeze and burn. No wonder everyone play the default shrapnel build, its boring but at least it works. I regret trying to do something fun....
I’ve got both the Abyss and Vortex fully calibrated and have complimentary mods for each respective build type. The ak hits harder but the reload speed is almost as slow as an LMG. The vector handles hordes of mobs easier without needing to reload. Vector also just feels better in PvP with mobility
@Haaaterade Do I understand correctly that the modification in fish (HP recovery) only works if the fish is currently selected? Or my modification is not working correctly and HP is not regenerated from my main weapon.
That's correct. You could put that mod on your abyss glance if you want but you'll sacrifice some damage. Or you could run the chest piece mod rejuvenating, preferably rejuvenating-talents.
i dont understand how u are dealing 80k dps. i been watching this video like 20times, i got the exact same mods. all upgraded, max calibration and i cannot even break 20k dps... the only mod im missing is the weapon mod

@maverikkarthurquinones1591 When you find weapons in crates in higher level areas or silos/LEA/bosses they can drop weapons that you break down to get their calibration attributes. You can then put them on another weapon of the same type.
Did the calibration blueprint itself change since this video? After finally getting my hands on that assault rifle precision style, mine has: attack damage +25%, range +40%, and fire rate -10% . The dual elemental damages both have the same ranges of % possible. Didn't know if the first part of that calibration blueprint has different %'s or weither it got a buff since the video
So the new patch looks to be nerfing this gun in the form of adding hit counter. Does this change anything for this build at all? Kinda worried now that I invested in picking up this BP and then this nerf drops.
How do you think adding a hit counter will nerf this weapon? I would imagine a hit counter (being added to the other combat counters on the UI) would just show you how many hits you have until your next frost vortex...effectively counting the hits. Like a hit counter does. That's not a nerf, it's just a QOL update.

Somebody has to explain something to me. I have the exact same gear and mods as the build says. Yet this guy can do around 100K dps with everything and i get around half of that. Ok mods have different sub stats rolls but thats only a few %. Is it rly all about the substat rolls that make such a huge difference?

Question, does the healing mod on the melee still apply to the vortexes you trigger with abyss glance? or does it only heal you when you use the melee?
topped out at just over 100k but sustained was only around 80ish on average with the current set up. Gonna keep refining until I can keep consistent 90k single target dps.

I just got a Vortex Multiplier with, Element + Great Ones + Normal Enemies + Status DMG... would you say this is a good one and I can upgrade it or should I keep farming for better?
@@Haaaterade Thanks for that. I went ahead and upgraded it - my first time actually. Ended up using most of my weapon mod parts, but I think the outcome was not bad. Element(Blue), Great Ones(Purple), Normal Enemies(Green), Status DMG(Gold)!

@shoprat I got most of mine from open world chest farming pretty early on (I have a loot route video, that's what I did most of phase 2). Ravenous Hunter on hard also drops them.
Great video. One question I thought of at 5:25: do the weapon mod effects trigger only if you have it in your hands or do they apply as long as you have it in the slot?
i wonder the same thing ppl ingame told me only the substats are active all the time but the core effect only when actively holding/using the weapon so im not sure if core stat on the tagging gun matters unless u shoot and kill with it
I'm struggling to get the Vortex Multiplier mod, any suggestions? I've ran Ravenous hunter on hard 30 times or more with no luck. I'm not sure if it even drops here anymore.
@@Haaaterade I bought it from the wish machine, epic blue print is the only way I know to get this it was 2000 Starchrom I think. the dropped one you can't repair. and it doesn't come in Lego. One more thing I love slapping npc's with the fish. it's Soooooooo funny

your video was posted in july before the august second update where they nerfed the cradle perk "transient impact" could this be the reason?

@AL-qk4xl There's a box in phase 4 or 5 that has shelterer BPs. Otherwise it's gonna take until next season probably to see more stars.

I’ve got both the Abyss and Vortex fully calibrated and have complimentary mods for each respective build type. The ak hits harder but the reload speed is almost as slow as an LMG. The vector handles hordes of mobs easier without needing to reload. Vector also just feels better in PvP with mobility
@Haaaterade Do I understand correctly that the modification in fish (HP recovery) only works if the fish is currently selected? Or my modification is not working correctly and HP is not regenerated from my main weapon.
That's correct. You could put that mod on your abyss glance if you want but you'll sacrifice some damage. Or you could run the chest piece mod rejuvenating, preferably rejuvenating-talents.
i dont understand how u are dealing 80k dps. i been watching this video like 20times, i got the exact same mods. all upgraded, max calibration and i cannot even break 20k dps... the only mod im missing is the weapon mod
The substats are what makes the damage go boom boom, not the main stat of the mods.

@chrisue92 That's exactly what I ran while I saved up for shelterer. And when you get 3 shelterer you can run 2 heavy duty with it.

@shanky.y You can always buy the weapon first and run like a 3 piece heavy duty and 2 piece something else until you can get the full shelterer set.

@maverikkarthurquinones1591 When you find weapons in crates in higher level areas or silos/LEA/bosses they can drop weapons that you break down to get their calibration attributes. You can then put them on another weapon of the same type.

Did the calibration blueprint itself change since this video? After finally getting my hands on that assault rifle precision style, mine has: attack damage +25%, range +40%, and fire rate -10% . The dual elemental damages both have the same ranges of % possible.
Didn't know if the first part of that calibration blueprint has different %'s or weither it got a buff since the video

Weapon if you want to try it. You can always run like a 3 or 4 piece heavy duty set until you can get some shelterer pieces

What calibration should I put for the melee weapon? you can't see it in the video
So the new patch looks to be nerfing this gun in the form of adding hit counter. Does this change anything for this build at all? Kinda worried now that I invested in picking up this BP and then this nerf drops.
How do you think adding a hit counter will nerf this weapon? I would imagine a hit counter (being added to the other combat counters on the UI) would just show you how many hits you have until your next frost vortex...effectively counting the hits. Like a hit counter does. That's not a nerf, it's just a QOL update.

Somebody has to explain something to me. I have the exact same gear and mods as the build says. Yet this guy can do around 100K dps with everything and i get around half of that. Ok mods have different sub stats rolls but thats only a few %. Is it rly all about the substat rolls that make such a huge difference?

10:24 i thought that frost vortex was continuous elemental damage, not a status. so this cradle effect does nothing?

Is that 90k single target dps? If so thats nuts. I thought my 68k with shrapnel was crazy
topped out at just over 100k but sustained was only around 80ish on average with the current set up. Gonna keep refining until I can keep consistent 90k single target dps.

@@Haaaterade Thanks for that. I went ahead and upgraded it - my first time actually. Ended up using most of my weapon mod parts, but I think the outcome was not bad. Element(Blue), Great Ones(Purple), Normal Enemies(Green), Status DMG(Gold)!

@shoprat I got most of mine from open world chest farming pretty early on (I have a loot route video, that's what I did most of phase 2). Ravenous Hunter on hard also drops them.

Great video. One question I thought of at 5:25: do the weapon mod effects trigger only if you have it in your hands or do they apply as long as you have it in the slot?
i wonder the same thing ppl ingame told me only the substats are active all the time but the core effect only when actively holding/using the weapon so im not sure if core stat on the tagging gun matters unless u shoot and kill with it

I run a sniper stealth build, but when getting pushed hard by npc's I use a frost quad shotgun to control the push. Works good for me.

@@Haaaterade I bought it from the wish machine, epic blue print is the only way I know to get this it was 2000 Starchrom I think. the dropped one you can't repair. and it doesn't come in Lego. One more thing I love slapping npc's with the fish. it's Soooooooo funny
