That's awesome! Yeah this was my first test and yeah ended up making few of them and the mod for Gaiden.
Honestly, it's sad we didn't get to hear Darryl actually sing karaoke. He was the best in Y7, and, honestly, I was kind of pumped to hear him sing in Y8... but then SEGA of America's marketing team decided to hire a 25-year-old talking head RUclipsr who promotes soy milk to voice a 50-something-year old virgin with 9 grades of formal education. Man... ^(

It's a voice ai, so sadly this probably isnt even possible with Darryl's Kiryu voice. There's no could here sadly.

Regrettably, the a.i. can't do excitement/shout type of voices...aka the tools I have unable to do it. However, in the mod, you can hear it, and it's not that good.

@@sirlimen333he wasn't that bad I actually thought his performance was relatively decent in LAD8 and Gaiden just so long as as he doesn't have to sing a harder song or put a heavy amount of a emotion into a scene

Not the voice topic, but I really wonder why they chose "Sayonara" in the English language instead of, for instance, "Fare thee/you well" 🤔
English language does have lots of "loan words" and due to movies/games many know what it's "trying" to mean than being accurate. Here it works since it stays consistent the OG Japanese version of the song.

It was so much fate away because hopefully right now we struck YY voice in English Dub but Takaya Kuroda were be worry about YongYea right now nobody else play English Dub Kiryu for YongYea voice much more official now
I’m still salty that they didn’t cast Darryl as Kiryu for the dubs of Gaiden and 8. Wouldn’t have been as upset if they’d at least gotten an actor that actually fit the character, but they had to go for the least-qualified person because he was friends with casting directors and had a big RUclips channel 😒

Yong Yea is hardly the least qualified lmao. He's been a voice actor for several years now.
He sounds too old to me, I liked him in 7 since the model looked a little older but this model looks too young, I honestly think Yong sounds great at this point, definitely some weaknesses but overall he takes plenty of inspiration from both Darryl and Kuroda-san's performances so no I honestly think he sounds fine. Much more fitting than old man voice coming from younger face
Well everyone has a different take. For me this is what a 50+ year old battle worn man trying to sing a song in a karaoke bar may sound like. Anyways in coming days you'll be entertained as Lad8 has additional Eng dubs by Yong.

Thanks. I thought they were good enough to share. Yes he looked younger than Y6 and suddenly at the very last scene he's looking older with all grey and that new hairstyle. I'm glad you enjoyed them.
