Welcome to Season 4 then everyone. A big one to open with. This one has taken me quite a while to produce and edit. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it!
Thank you for all the hard work you do to make sure our show is so well done.
A fellow fan of NTNOCN by any chance Chris ?
Harmans Cross no he's Livid 😉😉
@@mrcogginsgarage7062 ;-) got it in one. Nicely spotted - I knew someone would!
@@Hannahtheredhead2454 Thanks Jennifer. Much appreciated!
Really enjoyed this 'Four go mad in Dorset' episode, team trips to the Sunny South look like becoming a habit...
What a small world I was on that train yesterday from Swanage to Corfe Castle, taking the next generation, it’s all been beautifully restored and it was packed with all ages
Great to see the signalling equipment I used to work on being kept in tip top working condition. I still have good memories of working on the line. Spent a few years climbing signal posts and maintaining signalling along the line. The highlight of my time there was working on the new Swanage signal box. Spent many happy days working 'below the operating floor' on the electromechanical signalling equipment. Retired from S&T crew at Swanage in 2011 and miss it greatly now that we live in Ayrshire, Scotland. I hope to be able to visit it again someday. Note: I also spent time making fully working miniature models of the mechanical semaphore signals for a 1:148th scale working model railway exhibition layout. This episode brings back so many fond memories, . Thank You !
I used to live for 4 years back in 1984 in WEYMOUTH so I went many times to swanage and also the train museum in fact i still have the bage on my rucksack even today i do miss DORSET as i now live in NARBONNE SOUTH WEST FRANCE love❤ the show I can see why they call you the fab 4 best regards to all from SHAUN
Christ, i wouldnt know where to start with all those levers, what an amazing job they do. Great video guys 👏👏👏
Welcome to Series (Season is so US) 4. Great start.
It's lovely to see Chris so giddy when he got to press the dinger for real!!
DORSETGUY1) Hi team fantastic 1st episode i really love the Swanage railway i have been on it quite a few times since i moved down to Poole, so love the signal boxes all the bells and levers, can not wait to visit again. you all look refreshed and ready for this series, love your hair Siddy. love you team💖💖💖💖
Great video, gotta love heritage railways. I've visited KWVR, ELR, Lakeside and Haverthwaite and Bo'Ness
Really enjoying all the episodes. Had you considered doing a Terminus episode, such as Cockfosters, Mill Hill East, Amersham/Chesham or Uxbridge ???
Keep up the great work, really really interesting.
Great episode, thank you all.
I started putting in a voicetube communication system into the house. Mrs Long Branch asked me what I was doing in the bathroom - to which I replied, "I'm drilling a hole for a communications system". She was not impressed. Suffice to say I have a few holes in the house that are now covered over by ancilliary jars... Using the cordless phone's intercom function is not nearly as much fun. I'd even purchased Navy whistles to alert others on the voicetube system of impending communications...
Looking forward to seeing you all at it again
Welcome to series four.
Hi Chris, welcome back for another series. It doesn't seem that last series ended that long ago! I haven't been to Swanage since the mid 70s, when I was there on a school trip to hunt for fossils! Looking forward to your show.
There is actually a Link between TfL and the Swanage Railway! The link is that the Platform at Herston Halt was dismantled from the former Woodside Station (nr Elmer's End) and donated to the Swanage Railway! Of course the line on which Woodside station was on is now part of TfLs "Tramlink" so there is a connection between the two!
Really interesting history of early electronics + engineering
Please consider Tunbridge Wells from Charing Cross on South Eastern, then a short walk to Tunbridge Wells West on the Spa Valley Railway to Eridge where you can get a Southern train to London Bridge.
A fab episode from the Fab Four!! It was so great having you all back for the new series and for me to enjoy an episode that combined my love of steam with my love of the the Hidden London Hangouts! Series 4 looks like it’s going to be even more fab than the other three! Siddy you are superb in the new series on Yesterday tv too and it was great to see Charlie in last Monday’s episode. Many thanks to you all.
So glad you enjoyed it Dave. Hope you’re keeping your chin up
Glad that season 4 is here, love the enthusiasm you guys all show.😀👍
South Western Railway should introduce a new service from London Waterloo to Swanage using Class 158 DMUs. And stopping at some stations including Clapham Junction, Woking, Basingstoke, Micheldever, Winchester, Eastleigh, Southampton Central, Ashurst New Forest, Brookenhurst, Bournemouth, Poole, Wareham, Corfe Castle and Swanage.
Love the name Jiffy.
The bell rings and holding last one to release the token looks very fool proof, but is there anything to stop the train if it did not take the token from the signal man? Also could they run two or more trains in the same direction spaced out with the token system?
I’ll ask the person in the signal box 🤣🤣
The train could occupy the single line until it reached the next signal box but no other train could come in the other direction without that token, avoiding a head on collision !! On some railways, the starter signals would be locked without the token being inserted like a key!
What’s the aniseed notice on the inside of the cab about?
How do I get to see siddy’s tv programme as I live in New Zealand?
It's available to watch online
On UKTV Play
Hope this is of some help to you.
@@mrcogginsgarage7062 unfortunately I’m unable to watch as it appears I’m outside of the UK area …
