    This is the best ever banana bread! Replacing my 50 year-old banana bread recipe for this one! My loaf tins were smaller so the recipe filled three loaf tins, but my air fryer would only hold two. So had to bake the third one after the first two were done. Will purchase 1 pound tins so I can get the two larger loaves into my air fryer.

    I love banana bread. I think I would skip the chocolate chips since I would want to treat as a breakfast with butter and possible jelly. 🍸

    This is my dream bread added to your sourdough bread which I was able to watch so long time ago. There is nothing like the fragrance of freshly baked banana bread, Dani. Ohhh, so clever to think of mixing those dry ingredients just on top pf the sticky wet stuuf! You are able to save added dishes to wash. Wow, I love to have this bread with my tea, soft and moist in the inside. And what with some texture brought by walnuts and the chocolate chips, oh I am really in for a treat!. You never fail to amaze us with your practical recipe, Dani. Hugs to the family! ❤

    Yep, this one will do me just fine Daniella.
    Love the walnut and choc chip additions. Right up my alley...
    I can always cut the sugar by half and use a GF SR flour.
    I was thinking about caramelizing the bananas in butter and brandy before adding them to the batter. That should sweeten where there's less sugar.
    👍🤤😀

      I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on my recipe! My family also looks for low sugar recipes, so I've already reduced the sugar content in this recipe by a fair bit! I'd love to hear how it goes with the caramelised bananas! Maybe that's a future episode I should do?? 😻 If you really wanted to reduce the sugar further, I wouldn't go less than 1/3 cup, as the sugar provides moisture to the loaf. But the GF SR flour will work! 💖🙌

      @@BlackCatKitchen Good point about the sugar providing moisture.
      GF flour I find needs extra moisture, so I'll keep that in mind 😻

      You can substitute yogurt - I’d suggest full fat to get the right texture, but a lower fat will work in a pinch!

    What brand pans are you using? Went to local kitchen store and they didn't have the size you use. TY, ancy

    • @BlackCatKitchen
      @BlackCatKitchen  11 месяцев назад

      I bought my pans from Amazon UK. I'll include a link to the exact pans I bought below! The great thing about these pans is that there are no sticky-out handles, so the pans fit within my air fryer basket a lot easier! To confirm, they are 1lb loaf pans. If you don't live in the UK, then see if Amazon in your country has a similar style of 1lb loaf pan available! Let me know how you get on! 🍞😻

    can i use other nuts like almonds, cashews, pistachio??

    • @BlackCatKitchen
      @BlackCatKitchen  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, definitely, but for harder nuts, especially almonds, either used almond slivers or make sure to finely chop them! It’ll be too hard to slice through the bread if you don’t! 🥰

    can i skip sour cream?

    • @BlackCatKitchen
      @BlackCatKitchen  9 месяцев назад +1

      The sour cream adds moisture and tang, and it also helps the banana bread to rise. You could replace the sour cream with yogurt, but I wouldn't omit them from the recipe. I hope that helps and happy baking!! 💖😻
