WOW... awesome study on Daniel chapter 9 during the first 21 minutes of the video. I NEVER connected Daniel's prayer in chapter 9 with the 70 year captivity prophecy and his fear that it would be extended for another 2300 years. This makes too much sense that I feel dumb for not seeing the connection before. What a RICH TREASURE the Bible is.

LOVED this study because, although I always accepted it as truth by faith, I never saw the connection that the 70 weeks was the beginning point of the 2300 day prophecy. It never made any sense to me... but stephen bohr has done an EXCELLENT job in these last two sermons because first, he connected the little horn of chapter 7 with chapter 8 and then he connected daniel's prayer in chapter 9 with the 2300 days.
yes that is the standard sda explanation... but a person who wants to avoid the implications of the 2300 days can say that they were "cut off" from God as a people. The Jews WERE cut off from God as a chosen people after the end of the 70 weeks.
the way stephen bohr presented it makes it perfectly clear and undeniable that they are connected. a light bulb clicked in my head, IOW.

And also I'm fairly certain that Hebrew word translated as "cut off" in Dan 9:24 only appears ONCE in all Scripture. Totally different word than when people are "cut off", like Ex 30:33, Lev 7:20, etc. It's unique because God wants us to understand. God bless.
If they are desiring to let His word be their one and only guide, if they are seeking His truth, all they have to do is read & believe: 70 weeks (490 years) are cut off. That's a time period, not people.
Like Prepare said, all an honest seeker would have to do is read and he would see that God has heard Daniel's prayer and sent Gabriel back to give Daniel understanding of what he didn't understand one chapter previous, the 2300 year period. It says 70 weeks cut off, not people cut off.
"Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy". Dan 9:24
That word translated "determined" literally means "cut off", cut off from what? The 2300 years. This 70 weeks (490 years) is all about the Messiah & His people, literal Israel. God bless.

In connecting daniel 9 with daniel 8 and using the day/year principle for the 2300 days, one wouuld HAVE TO become a Seventh-day Adventist- which means keeping the SABBATH.
"Her priests have violated my LAW, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have HID THEIR EYES from MY sabbaths [not the Jews], and I am profaned among them "

As I wrote in the last presentation 12/32 The little horn~(Dan 8:9-12) in Daniel 8 was Antiochus IV Epiphanes(175 BC-164BC) not the Roman Papal Power. The little horn in Daniel 7 is the Roman Papal Power. The "prince of the host" ~(Daniel 8:11) was Moses and not Jesus. The "Prince of Princes"~(Daniel 8:25) is Jesus. The king that came against the Prince of Princes (Daniel 8:25) was King Herod the great (37 BC-1BC). But God bless Stephen Bohr for sharing so much other truth with the world. I thank God for him. God has truly blessed him with much understanding and knowledge. But No Christian or denomination knows everything completely.
But u know everything?? Was ephesians extremely great is he one spoken about and everyone knows??? Did he try to change time and laws no no no
