Revelation’s seven seals (Revelation 6:1-8:1) have long been a topic of animated discussion among Adventists, Protestants, and the world in general.
What do the seven seals mean? Must we understand then literally or symbolically? What principles must we apply to them in order to understand their true meaning?
In this ANCHOR class study, we dedicate an entire week to decode the meaning of the seals verse by verse by applying historicist principles. Not only will we study the seven seals, per se, but also the magnificent introductory vision in chapters four and five as well as the prophetic interlude of Revelation 7. We will answer questions such as the following (and many more!):
• What principles must we apply to the study of the seven seals?
• Do chapters four and five depict the judgment scene that began in 1844 or do they apply to Christ’s inauguration upon His ascension?
• Who are the four living creatures and the 24 Elders?
• What do the four horses represent and why are they different colors?
• Who are the souls that are crying out from under the altar?
• Must we understand the great earthquake and the signs in the sun, moon, and stars literally?
• Who are the 144,000 and when will they live? Is the number literal or symbolic?
• What is the half-hour of silence in heaven when the seventh seal is broken?
• What relevance do the seven seals have for my own personal walk with Jesus?

I am 73 and have sat through many series on the book of Revelation since becoming a Seventh-day Adventist in 1975. Already I am marveling at the ability the Lord has bestowed upon Elder Bohr to clearly reveal the marvelous truths of this most important book that reveals how close we are to that day when we will see our precious Savior return in the clouds of glory. Oh that more of God's people would participate in this series of studies.

For 69 yrs of my Christian life of my 75 yrs on this planet; I was confused about the "7 Seals". Because I find that every one has different thesis'. This bugged me to no end...
So, 15 yrs ago (90 now), I kneeled upon my bedside; and cried out to Jesus; to give me "Wisdom, Understanding and the Truth".
Thus today, my belief on these 7 Seals is this (in numerical order):
# 1. White...stands for "Purity". And there will never be anything as pure; as Jesus. Thus, Jesus opened this Seal; and a baby was born in "Bethlehem"; beginning one of the most "dynamic" eras in history; until this very day. Praise His Holy Name.
# 2. Red...To me the word "Red" in the bible; has often meant "blood". Thus, Jesus opens this Seal; when the Roman Catholic Church; tortured and/or murdered over 50 million Christians, from 538 AD to 1798 AD. Oh yes! AKA: "Time, Times and half Times"!. Or: 1,260 yrs.
# 3. Black...darkness and bad, bad era. Thus, Jesus opens this Seal; and the whole world will suffer of "Famines"; that have NEVER happened to this day. For it is just before the "Great Tribulation". And it is Jesus' wrath; against what "WE" have let happen over 2,000 yrs. Sad, but oh so true!
# 4. Grey/Pale...Horrid illnesses. Thus, Jesus opens this Seal; and "Plagues" all over the world pop up; that have never happened to this day; until at the very door of the GT. Again, Jesus' wrath, for what we have done.
# 5. During the first part of the GT; Jesus will open this Seal; and Jesus' children cry out...Revelation 6:10 How long, O Jesus, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them (that hurts us) that dwell on the earth?...Revelation 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one (born again) of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
# 6. Then satan and his 200 million "Fallen" Angels; are given just 5 months "in the flesh" on earth (GT). And when satan sees; that he was UN able to kill the "Born Again" (For Jesus' angels, had hidden us and fed us "Manna"); satan becomes livid. So he creates a worldwide "law": "NO one will be able to buy or sell ANY thing; if they do not have my 'Mark of the Beast' (666)!"...
(Notice # 6. I do not believe it's just a Coincidence; but it might be! Then the 7th "Trumpet" blows and now the "Rapture"...And last; but NOT EVER the least)...
# 7 (means "Fulfillment") Now Jesus will have, on "Judgment Day", been proven that He is the ONLY one that is "Worthy" enough; to open the last and "Seventh Seal". Also, proving that Jesus WAS, IS and shall ALWAYS the ONLY true God; there will ever have been. AMEN!
Not to mention that Jesus WAS the Creator. And He also was the one; that wrote the "Book of Life". That he put the "7 Seals" on in the first place! So the Seals "begin" with Jesus and "ended" with Jesus. Proving..."Alpha to Omega!". Hallelujah; and shout it to the highest Mountains!
Proving that the "Word of God" has never been a book. But Jesus alone is the true "WORD" of God. Believe it or not. And Praise His Precious Holy Name. Where...John 1:1 and 14; proves this to the "Nth" degree; to what the "Word" of God really is: "JESUS"...AMEN!
Brethren, could I be wrong? ABSOLUTELY YES! But all others, could be wrong too..
...In any case, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!
The first seal is a conqueror it’s not purity. 7 seals occur in 7 years.

One question brother. You say that the first seal begins with the apostolic church. Which I understand comes from the book "Thoughts on Daniel and Revelation by Uriah Smith and his contemporaries. I've always wondered how the church comes to this conclusion when inspiration states this plainly.
MR No. 667-Prophetic Interpretation
The Book With Seven Seals Contains the History of the World-“And I saw in the right hand of Him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon” (Revelation 5:1-3).
There in His open hand lay the book, the roll of the history of God's providences, the prophetic history of nations and the church. Herein was contained the divine utterances, His authority, His commandments, His laws, the whole symbolic counsel of the Eternal, and the history of all ruling powers in the nations. In symbolic language was contained in that roll the influence of every nation, tongue, and people from the beginning of earth's history to its close.

I am at a loss of words... Listening to people saying things and the hole congregation fallow as sheep to tge slaughter hous. The 7th seal is not only one vurce long... The 7 seals is the seven trumpets. And the last 3 trumpets is the 3 woe's, connected to the work that God said would tge muslim people do for Him. And if my story sounds ludicrous, i can ubderstand it.. But it does not make the truth errors. . Matt. 23:13, 15, 29, 30. Blessed are those that take time to read these scriptures above..

How can he mentions that the septet series follow the same history, that being the 1st church, seal and trumpet fall in the same timeline of history, but when he goes over the second trumpet, pastor Bohr says it's the barbarian invasion on pagan Rome. Unfortunately, the barbarian invasions happen after the time of Constantine, while the second church and seal fall in the timeline of history from around 90ad to 321ad. These strict guidelines take away from the flow of revelation. We all should go back to the pioneers writings and Ellen whites confirmation of at least the fifth and sixth trumpets that were held by the pioneers. She even told JN Loughborough to write a book of the history of the advent movement. He even told the effect their interpretation of the trumpets had on the movement.
it is relevant to Israel and the covenant people. The grace people are the evangelists to tell the non believers their future without Jesus.
