  • Sometimes, noise cancellation is a bad thing. The Shokz OpenFit sit just over your ears and allow you to still hear things like traffic, which makes them perfect for runners and cyclists. And they sound better than you might think.

Interested in these as a cyclist. I can't believe how long my old Shokz has lasted - these may be what I replace them with when they break in about 10 years!

Hi, Thanks for the review, how about Teams Call or Office Usage with this product? Is the microphone sufficient to handle such tasks?

I came to this video to learn how to use the controls. I also am coming from the Aeropex, and the biggest thing i noticed is how much of an inprovement in sound depth. I actually feel bass with a Shokz product for the first time ever -- so thats a huge plus if you're like me and live in the Aftershokz/Shokz ecosystem.

Amen, this review is pretty subpar, he didnt really cover the controls, and they are VERY different from every other flagship product I've worn from Shockz.

My question on these relates to wind noise. When cycling, the biggest obstacle to hearing audio without turning the volume up to dangerous levels is wind noise caused by the channels between the earpieces and my ears…how do these perform at speeds above, say, 18mph?

Is there only supposed to base on one side, cus mine only have base on one side?

If you need bone conduction ear buds but also want/need an amazing microphone for calls, get the Shokz OpenComm with the boom mic. Hands down best Bluetooth microphone ive ever heard, and the noise cancelling is really good.

How do these compare to the Oladance headphones? They were a sponsor a little while back

Great review! I was really interested in these for running. How do they compare with Airpod Pros in transparency mode?

It's totally different. (And I use AirPods Pro as my main buds.) Having something in your ear just cuts out too much of the ambient sound, and kills the directionality. For me, anyway.

@@PhilNickinson AirPods are a terrible design - they always fall out unless you buy uncomfortable irritating 3rd party adapters. These Shokz headphone are a much better option. I wish Apple would buy them or copy the design and function. I forget I have them on, they work, have better battery life, don't block or impair your hearing and do not fall off!

@@PhilNickinson This is a really good point actually and makes a lot of sense! Unless the Airpods pro can be programmed with an accurate HRTF (maybe by scanning your ears) and using directional mics, there would be no way for them to replicate directional cues! I may actually give these a shot, thanks!

I wiah bose would make a 2nd model of their with much needed improvements, they were the best sounding open buds/phones ive heard

Sooooo no notes on call quality? I feel like that would have been essential for people who wanna use the shockz for phone calls

Not for me but good video anyhow.

Wouldn't Airpods 2, the classic Airpods, be superior? They sound decent, cost $100, and you can hear ambient sound no problem. For another $15 bucks you can add “ear buddyz” that are silicone clips to ensure they don't fall out.

Yeah, especially because they are bulky - so they could have easily fit a volume control into it...

You can control the volume on them you have to set that as one of your taps in the app

You just hold down for 3 secs on each side to either raise or lower volume.. like Tozo does.

    $179.99 for bad sound???? 😢
I'm wondering how much Chinese companies can do with this amount of money spend on sound quality 😅
I like the open feeling they need to be comfortable as well 😊
