I was blessed to see The Warning play this live. In January 2019, they played the Whisky a GoGo. The set went for two full hours with no intermission. They played an incredible set list, of all original songs, but before calling it a night, they had a surprise for us. To honor one of their fans, who is a huge Metallica fan, they decided to play this as an encore. Imagine 2 full hours of high energy, face melting rock and roll, and then pulling this out if your holster to finish off the night! We were mesmerized, as Dany, Pau and Ale blew the doors off of the Whisky. Its like nothing I had seen before, nor since. The wall of sound they hit you with is monumental!
Sandra Nelson true story. That invitation was extended after their 30 minute set in 2018, a year before. The Whisky very quickly recognized how special this band is.
Oh, Roy!! I love remembering that night. The moment they started Atlas Rise, what had already been one of the best nights of my life instantly soared to heights I had never imagined. I felt like one of those screaming young girls you always see in the footage from the sixties, when the band is walking of the plane. But alas, I had no bra to throw, so I stood, eyes wide, jaw on the floor, and overjoyed.
Their performance of this song at the Whisky a Go Go a couple of years later was truly jaw dropping. The tone from Dany's Manson and Ale's Spector was awesome.
true, but this one is actually technically more amazing imho... the bass part she played here is more detailed, the drum part also in a couple places, but I DO love the sound live at the gogo and the tones and energy there are amazing... both are great, but this one is technically even more amazing....
The audio is a little cleaner in this video, but the first time I saw them in January 2019, at the Whisky A Go Go, they closed their set with this song. No, they are not a cover band. They played 21 originals first, then they just attacked this song with so much energy, it melted my face.

Check out sound from The Whiskey... Jaw dropping. Wait until you see their newer stuff LIVE from Lunario CDMX or LIVE from Foro Didi. Their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene is nothing short of a masterpiece, by three young geniuses!

These girls are sisters. Plus, they are multi-instrumentalists too. They were offered to opened for legendary bands such as Aerosmith and Def Leppard. Recently, they signed to a record label. Label is Lava Records. LR has collections of artists such as Kid Rock. It is good that younger generation continued on Rock tradition. Maybe, your band and The Warning would tour together.
Ricardo A. Soltero it would be interesting to hear this song played on the spearfish. I love the warmer tones that the Les Paul produces. The spearfish is very bright, in comparison. Awesome thought experiment!

Have to agree with other comments the Whiskey A gogo version is sooo much better even though it was after playing 22 songs before over 2 hours! This version is before Ale got her spector and Dany got gifted her Rick Toone guitars. Side note: they have 2 songs on Rockband- Survive and Free Falling from their first album which is what first really got them into wanting to play instruments. but they had been playing classical piano by then. great reaction be safe and cioa for now.

Fun fact: The band transposed, arranged and performed this song in only four days! They had not played it before as it was from Metallicas's recently released ("Hard Wired", Nov. 2016) album. TW did this cover in honor of Metallica who were then playing in Mexico.
I remember when they had started making an album that they went through some producers and didnt really like how they were trying to change their style of playing so they decided to bot go with any of them which was a smart move on their part. And when i heard their first song i was seriously blown away cus from they were little they played pretty good for being that young and then up to that point when they started writing their own material they perfected their playing then stepped it up even more into the metal sounding like groups like lacuna coil and leaves eyes. Then some people would leave negative comments criticizing them on their playing when they were little and then when fans would send them instruments making fun of their equipment. I would like to see them grab a guitar and try to play perfectly and sing or yet play drums which i think is the hardest to play let along sing while playing with out running out of breath and trying to sing with out your voice bouncing as your drumming let alone do that infront of 1000s of people. I get nervous just jamming out on my lsd f50 on my cube street amp at wal mart hoping to god i dont mess up.

This is better video of the girls than the Whiskey. The Whiskey is dark and you don't get up close shots like here. You get to see Pau on drums up close. The Whiskey is dark you don't get see her, even on the overhead view.

What's interesting to me about this cover is that most other songs The Warning play, be it their own songs or other covers, are like just a few minutes at most. And this Metallica song clocks in at like 6:30 on the official version so it feels like a much longer song than what The Warning usually plays.

if you guys enjoyed this cover.....I suggest another cover band to checkout would be Sershen and Zaritskaya. Their lead singer Daria is an absolute legend and a helluva voice. Any of their covers, especially their AC/DC or Guns and Roses covers .
This is why their patreons contributed enough for the to schedule a 30 show North American tour before Covid ruined it. I had tickets and I will be sure to purchase again when they can reschedule. A couple things to consider about this cover: Metallica has two guitarists, The Warning does the job with one. The Warning has a critically acclaimed drummer, Metallica does not.....
