I really doubt Mox is 'banned' from returning to WWE in the future, but the more important point is why would he ever want to go back when AEW better caters to what he wants to do creatively, and he hasn't lost much more than half a dozen matches there since 2019. And his wife works there (not a deal maker but as parents it probably helps compared to wrestling couples that don't have kids).
Superstars have stage names because using their real names or even half of it can be 'difficult'. Emphasis on that word because if you have money (and some creative control) then sure you can enjoy the pay cut when the company has to trademark your name for merch (and previously DVD appearances)
