Sounds good. I've also added Auguson Farms vegetable stew mix, spinach, celery and bell peppers for cooking, soups and sauces with great results. Thanks for the information.
@@PHExpatPrepper Hi Bill, I don't know if u can get from amazon sg, but the black bean burger bucket is currently going for $67 sgd or $50 usd right now. Only downside is I've heard that they are not separated into different packs... So need to repackage it ourselves
I have had this before and it is not too bad, I came up with a recipe for it mix it up a thinner with some cayenne pepper and serve over rice and it’s like Cajun red beans and rice
yes.. I just got two more cans in the mail this week. One of the FEW AF items I restock\add. As I make a lot of my own freeze dried food. But at the price point, and the great taste.. sometimes it just better to buy. Thanks
I just bought the bucket for $70. Space is a big constraint for me unfortunately, can't stock too much. I"ll probably get more in #10 cans when the deal's good
I would have thought where you live fresh food is abundant. Rice definitely worth holding even just a hedge on inflation. I wonder what the locals have to say on what's best to hold. Think cashflow would be the main constraint.
There is a TON of fresh veg\meat out here. I freeze dry a lot of it for long term. The locals out here are at or below the poverty line for the most part they live day to day.
Thanks for the video and the review. The only thing I've ever had freeze dried is coffee. Am I deprived? ... lol Of all the freeze dried products out there, I was always interested in the Bean mix for some strange reason. It's the cost of the stuff you see. I can get more bang for my buck by sticking with the old fashioned methods and foods. Mind you, if I weren't such a financial cripple, I'd be getting some just to try. I choose to be a full time resident here in the gateless and guardless prison of despair called the Gulag of Poverty rather than whore myself out for someone else's idea of a "good time", and if that doesn't make me the bitter one, I don't know what does. But I'm good with it. It's all about acceptance eh? I make the most of our local Bulk Barn store where I get all kinds of dehydrated goods, soups, and sauces, that I pack away in Mason jars with Oxygen absorbers. If I get a five year shelf life with the stuff I'm more than pleased. They have a powdered Mac and Cheese Sauce mix made with real Cheese that I pray stores well with oxy absorbers because I like a cheesy pasta in my doddering old age rather than a tomato based pasta. Call me fickle. Anywho, I checked an old jar of Mac and Cheese Sauce mix and it looked like the day I packed it away. No color change and the stuff didn't clump together at all. I didn't bother opening it because I have some opened. That doesn't mean that I don't have a whack of tomato based pasta sauces too, because I do. The vast majority of my Beans are dry and I only have a flat or two of canned Beans stashed. Convenience eh? My canner holds 16 pints so when I do beans, I do a whack of beans and then don't have to worry about doing them again for awhile. Keep up the great work and good luck.
Fry up some chopped onion, peppers red or green and carrots and mix it into the patty mixture that really kicks it up. I just ordered a big amount of this product. Look at the insane prices of hamburgers at the fast food restaurants...........this us cheap.
I don't think that it's supposed to be fake meat, just Beanie Burgers with a nice flavor. I like to do a 50/50 mix with hamburger, it makes them interesting.
I just purchased a can of the black bean burgers. My can came dented in near the top a couple inches across, but it doesn't appear to have broke any seals , should this still be safe to use?

I have a LOT of the veg mix, onions and potatoes. I freeze dry fresh veg both cooked and raw for most other veg stock. Thanks!

Just a tip, heat beef broth op to boiling add the mix, make the patties on parchment paper & freeze firvan hour.. Works great.
To add the beef taste, sounds good. I did like this as it was, surprisingly. Thanks
Awesome, I liked this review because I have some of this. It's good to know that it would make good tacos as well.
Yes it does! And everyone loves tacos!
Thanks for doing this. It’s helpful!
No problem.. it lets me know as well, what is good and bad. Thanks for watching.

Yeah I bet that would be good. I still think it would rock a taco.
Sounds like a winner. I got several if these for around $12. Good for the shelf life too.

One of the few things I still keep adding, as its actually great tasting. Thanks
For taco salad🤩😋😋
This stuff is really good, I have bought more since the video. A good long term item. Thanks

I believe so yes, however if you have Mylar, and Os packets.. might want to move it to one.
