Augason Farms has some freeze dried stuff, but most is not, including the milk. I like this milk, it's great to have around, and I use it regularly.

I do not drink a lot of milk myself, however it is good.. and it should be something to stack\stock as in a crisis may be needed for other family. Thanks

    Thank you for your video.
It makes all the difference when you let it sit for awhile.
Powdered Milk is one of the things that hasn't gone through the roof price wise here but it is expensive. I believe I'm paying $30 for 2.5kg of Skim Milk at the Big Box store. About 5 lb.
I'm not a big milk drinker either and was putting some away regularly, a kg here, a kg there, until about six months ago when I found myself focusing on the powdered Milk so I went and got 10kg to pack away in Mylar with absorbers. That's 22lb for $120.
And the Wholesaler wanted $150 for 10kg.
AND! I may want to do it again they way things are looking in the world. If it's not one thing, it's the other.
Right now it's the Hurricane Lee barreling down on us and looking like a direct hit too.
    Lucky us.
Last one was Fiona last year and we only lost power for a week but that was when the freezer quit and the generator caught fire and burned.
I was hoping for a little break between Hurricanes, but not this year.
And I thought I was prepared.
Between getting all the crap canned up from the freezer and lucking out with another small generator, things would have gone to hades fast and I was stressed to the max.
Lucky it was the bread, berry and veggie freezer. Didn't lose much and was able to redistribute a lot of it into my other freezers. Still, imagine the huge meat freezer going down, .... the work to get all that canned up would be impressive, .. But it could be done. I do have two large canners after all.
I do have 10 dozen pints set aside "in reserve" for just such an event as long term grid down and the need to get things canned up.
And the new duel fuel generator is a 11,500 watt doozy. I'll do my best not to burn this one.
I've read that for people who are not enjoying the powdered milk to add a tbsp. of Coffee Creamer to the mix to give it a richer flavour, ... but I haven't tried it myself. I did get some Creamer though.
Keep up the great work and good luck.

sounds like you prep with a reason, and was tested. Kinda good that it happens as it shows areas that you need to work on. Lets hope this storm is kinder to you.

Thanks, I hope so too, but I have my doubts. The sun "popped" off there a day or two ago ( a solar flare) and we're going to catch a bit of the solar blast it sent out into the cosmos. With our weakening Magnetosphere, solar events are having a greater effect on the earth and our weather, .. not to mention us.
There's a correlation discovered between solar storms and heart attacks and there's now a "mental" factor involved being triggered by our changing environment.
Notice all the "crazies" coming out of the woodwork lately?
It's an electric universe, ... and we are part of it all.
      Good luck.
