- Modding My RK68 Part 2:
First time lubing and modding my keyboard RKG68, it was tiring yet worth it experience and for sure I'll be able to learn more things along the way.
I'll be modding this keyboard a lot in the future and stay tuned for the transformation of this keyboard. (●'◡'●)

After 2 hours of modding, I just realised that the lights are barely visible. Thanks to the RED eva foam that I used as the pcb foam. BROOO IM CRYING RN. I have no energy to take it apart again. Guess no lights will be fine.
Youve gotta make cutouts ,you dont have to dissasemble it foam is easily rippable even with fingers,just small portion needs to be removed for diode to be seen

what 's faom do you use to dampening under PCB? and How thick? 2mm?
and how thick PE foam on PCB? 1mm?

Sure po ako sa pe foam ilalagay sa pinakailalim po, check mo po sa yt Yung thickness of pe foam for mech keyboard para sa comparison.

do you have to take out all the switches in order to put tape mod? I noticed that in rk61 you don't have to
he didnt remove the switches for the tape mod, he did it for the pe foam mod in the middle of plate and pcb
how did this affect your LED lights ? is it still visible ?
Yes, still visible.
its still visible but its a bit dimmer
Are you holed just through the PE foam or through Tape too?
you dont need to take of the switches to tapemod the keyboard jsut make sure you use masking tape or painters tape and make sure to squeeze out all of the air you can get
what did you use to poke hole?
its hard to poke holes with a toothpick

he has geteron without pins i think so he made only middle hole
do you need a hotswappable keyboard or do you have to desolder it and also i have pe foam only, do i need the other stuff?
hotswappable is easier, idk about soldered switches tho
yes you kinda need a hotswappable keyboard keyboard or not you have to desolder it and resolder it again, you can just use tape mod, in my opinion 3 layers of tape is the best for thock, if it is too thocky put less tape, ( for me after 3 layers there is no difference) and you can put foam on your keyboards case

@@DawarKhan01 measure the gap between the plate and pcb and purchase the thickness necessary to fill the gap.
