Regardless of whoever wins the actual tournament, I'm pretty sure Astel 's Mad Maggie will forever be imprinted on the hearts and minds of participants...as either inspiration or trauma lmfao
And this is why I love it when someone plays off-meta. There are a lot of strong players in this tournament, but everyone is going to remember that one Mad Maggie player who drilled into all of their heads (pun intended) 😉.
@@zir456 This is just my opinion, but Astel also play better on open area rather than in enclosed space like inside building. Having ability to force the enemies on their toes within cover of building so they either get out and run or defend with damaged shield play really well with his playstyle.
Forte got it right. Mad Maggie isn't strong, it's Astel who makes her strong because when you combine her tactical skill with Astel's Kusogaki energy or her ult with Astel's aggressive playstyle, you'd think she's meta even though Maggie isn't really strong. Although Astel is having trouble performing well due to Maggie's constraints he at least finds some ways to overcome it. It's also a hell of a way for Astel to make a name for himself. Being an annoying player you just can't help but respect.
But Mondo said that Astel need more aggressive than this.. i think i heard that mondo say that Astel wingman is good but not aggressive enough, as you can see Astel often always get high damage 1k or 2k damage but with zero kill and Astel agree with that
Having Mondo as their coach is the best thing ever. Astel can only get better with Maggie. Because Mondo is also cracked at Maggie and absolutely loving the chaos that she can create with her kits 😂
I did watch few pov how those got killed by astel react, but i feel so happy that even his genmate and his rival acknowledging how strong astel is. As of now astel needs to improve on his commanding skill where to land properly if rene use valk ult during scrimms, getting another champion for these 3 definitely boost their confidence a lot for their tourney soon Ganbare Astel!!!💪💪💪💪
The mad maggie reactions is the highlight of these scrims. Thank you for clipping and translating them ♡ As much fun as it is to watch others mald because of maggie, it is still a restriction. Because there were many more moments, when a gibbi dome, or a quick ash ult dash would have saved the team. The team struggled a lot this day and the last day, and maybe another composition would have helped. Thats why I'm glad they got one champion today, and take off some pressure.
Though he's already apologized to everyone for unleashing onto the venue the trolling chaos that is Mad Maggie Astel...this form of handicap might not have been the best thought-out
@@gtf234 It's really interesting to watch since there's that kind of "hole up" meta in high level play like this, and Maggie seems really good against that.

He was pretty down after that round, even though Kotone and Rene praised him, but he still feels bad because he couldn't protect his teammates.. In today's apex stream (not scrim), he said something along the lines that apex is supposed to be a team game, not solo. I think the main factor on why he was down was because he's supposed to be a leader that can think of the best situations for his team and teammates as a whole, so even though he soloed that round, he technically failed to be a leader in that time.. I wish today's scrim will bring good results for them
It's more on the fact that he was actually still suffering from the after effect of "ultra instinct", his adrenaline was pumping so hard that after the match ended, he needed to step out and walk away from his battle station to cool himself down. But it seems like this insane round took a lot of Astel's energy, he actually said his hands still shaking even after cooling down
He said to chat he wasn't feeling down, he was reflecting and thinking a lot, also he was tired because of all the adrenaline from this game, he couldn't calm down.

Anyways, thank you for the great clip ZoroZaki-san 🙏 . Edit: ah sorry, it wasn't Pakael who said solo stuffs 😣
Yeah that wasn't very considerate to his teammates, like they're holding him back. They probably already felt like that after seeing him go wild this round. But the truth is their sacrifice gave Astel time to heal, none of that would have happened if he was solo. Also if they knew he was solo he would've been pushed and probably died.
Solo but having the power of full team.. Fighting 4 teams in that house and wiping an entire squad.. 👏👏👏 Mondo coach told him to be aggressive and he did.. As much as I love it this gameplay is too much adrenaline.. 😫😫
That's why they're still the big scary team-to-beat. While a lot of the new clips covering this tournament are of Astel's wacky exploits and especially of Aqua's feats since this is her big first and last tournament debut, the actual results of their teams in these scrims has been very inconsistent.
