glad they actually managed to play as a team and had fun on the actual tournament cause they were really feeling down and frustrated during the scrims. hope they play together again cause I really like Astel and Asumi's chemistry and Ars' giggles are just **chef's kiss**

Also astel should be proud of this year as a whole he's one of the most popular members in holostars. He's became the rizz god for vspo girls literally every female vtuber calls him special curse. Became a legend in apex tournaments with mad Maggie to the point that when opponents hears the drill they say its astel kun be careful became a big name vtuber apex. Big year so far for are boy astel.

I'm so glad he looks like he's enjoying himself! There were some moments when he grew frustrated, but he was trying his best to be a team-player leader, and Ars and Asumi, as well as Sumomo were really supportive and awesome. They were a very great and entertaining team.

got worried a bit about this team at first but man did they turn it around on the last stretch. astel crying out of frustration for not getting his team a champion was heartbreaking to hear but overall team SSM was happy with the results and astel made many new precious connections, not to mention many ppl are thanking him for bringing along gamma to shinomiya & qpi team

Remember, the team inside the bus was MNBD which was 1st in the both 2 rounds before this match.
They might have won this too if not for Astel's drilling and being above the bus' roof which might have disturbed their concentration a little.

man i really love that solo pllay from astel, he played so aggressively that noah's team probably thought he still had a squad to back him up, and keeping them inside essentially denied them a 3rd straight win, kept the killpoints low and eventually resulted in that nailbiting 2 point difference finale for the entire lobby post game 5.

I've watched vsaikyou from season 1 up until now, and I will say this is the best Vsaikyou i ever watch, for me all 60 participant is the best player we can have for vsaikyou up until now thanks to shibuhal to increasing team maximum point' to 21pt, and all participant really going all out for past 1 month.
After the game end i cried Twice lol, first was during pakael team interview when rikka and Leo crying because they're frustated to lose only 2 point' to win the game, second was because gamma, he also crying after he part away from discord call lol.
And for me the mvp during this vsaikyou was astel, during the participant announcement 1 month ago i already tough it Will hard for astel team to win, it's sound Rude but, for me who already know asumi and ars before this, Apex it's not their best game, many other team really stronger then them, also lack of practice make his team got some "drama" but glad they can solve it in 5th day of the scrim and finally their team ended in 9th despite the bad result in every scrim, well like asumi said, this team is "youth". (Well literally It's actually true cause asumi and astel is one of the youngest member from vspo and holostar lol), i really hoping after this astel and all holostar boy's keep their relationship with other participant, i would like to see another "special grade curse" in action again lol, even tough probably we wont see it soon
Same sentiment with you upon seeing the team lineups for Astel. And considering how they finished below 10th throughout the scrim, I am extremely happy with their improved performance 👏👏
And the good thing is they really enjoy the tourney and have fun as a team
tbf Asumi(caustic/crypto main) and Ars(Bloodhound/Valkyrie main) are both used to playing in zone and both are sniper players now they are to learn playing edge on legends they're not used to in just 1 week. Asumi drop g7/30-30 to play AR/smg cause Ars is already on sniper and they need to do a lot of combat to push other teams so yeah while it is questionable why astel decided to not utilize his team's strengths, it is also nice to watch their journey to play as a team in the actual tournament and got top 10
@@benja9029 yeppp agree, during their second custom, you can see asumi is a little bit frustated after astel and sumomo told her to not use G7 or 30-30 because their team need more power in close combat. asumi and ars really playing out of their own comfort zone, asumi especially, playing new chara without her favorit weapon. For me its Really good result for this team, and it's also good moment to upgrade their own self

because in japan server they really love hiding in small space like in small bus like noa's team. using mad maggie is really effective to push them out of hiding spot, astel in here is still being very kind to not specifically target Loba's ult to cut off their lifeline for cells and syringe, if its me i would target it by peeking from the roof
Also it's really funny that deron team got "sumire'd" by astel, IN SAME RING as sumire team in last year vsaikyou lol

yea cause he didn't play to his teammates' strengths. Both Sena(crypto/caustic main) and Ars(BH/Valkyrie main) are used to play in zone and snipers. They had 1 week to practice playing edge and using legends they didn't know w/c is fine but Astel has to compensate for making that decision by more doing damage. During their first custom together Sena was farming them whites to purples with 30-30 or g7 and clutch fights with caustic but she has to change her load out to AR/smg/SG because Ars is already in sniper and they had to push multiple teams when playing Edge. If he wanted his teammates to contribute more he should have played to their advantages but he didn't so we got this result which is also fine cause top 10 in that intense tournament while having to train unfamiliar gameplay/legends/loadouts is one of the best case scenarios. I thought they were placing 16th below cause they didn't have enough time to polish things

He change legends so many time. But if I'm not mistaken it was path before nerf and octane before nerf?
None. He played Rev with chibistars, Gibby with RAG, Seer with ARCstars, Maggie with MDM and SSM. He played crypto on his first time master rank grind with AIM and used wraith/octane during his solo master grind so pretty much a flex pick depending on his teammates but now he's just more focus on entertainment that's why he picks Maggie especially now that she's not that bad after the buffs and the Cata wall meta
