I have three people in my family that are lawyers one in minning contracts working for himself , another head of the law department of a major company and another just starting and they dont earn 70 000 a day , you are lieing to the ignorant South African kids without mentioning the over saturated of law graduates compared to open positions, meaning companies dont need to compete who xan give yoy the better salary but rather you compete for who would give you any job and money ,

Your not told that the law field is over saturated with graduates and not enough job opening opening them , and not all lawyers get high paid salaries , and it's very competitive that you going to work way more than 9am to 5pm hours a day , and criminal law can make money especially when you defending rich companies or corrupt politicians you know is guilty and hurts the country , but that's a challenge on your conscious and with God if that means anything to you

A friend of mine was told the same thing about the over saturation of the law profession in SA when he was applying for funding to study law. He decided to pursue law anyway and is now a prosecutor for the NPA. Yes, the profession may be highly competitive but there will always be space for those willing to be extraordinary.

It all depends on your knowledge and skill. All aspects of law can be highly lucrative if you are excellent at what you do and you are known by the right people.
