What an awesome video! Being the father of two kids, this really makes me smile big time.
Thanks bro! It was fun making it haha
@@skrrtgarage3922 Awesome bro
Thank you for posting this i bought a similar one for my son and i did mine exactly like yours i couldnt find anyone who had one like this its a perfect setup thank you
Dude, your custom plate is halarious! DILFWGN.... 🤣🤣🤣
This is my favorite video of yours!!
Haha thanks bro!!
THANK YOU 🙏🏻
will be doing this shortly, my son has an Audi TTRS and it currently does not deserve the RS badge, Milwaukee will help!
So, now it's rear "engine"? Haha... Didn't know you were a Dad. It's a blast, eh? Great video... gonna have to get my kiddos set up like this one day.
Hahaha exactly 👍🏼
This is awesome. My daughter who is 2.5 is saying faster when she drives it by herself. It's honestly slow. I was hoping I could get it to go faster than your mod but this may be the best for this platform.
Hells ya, have to get my son a Jag model.
Hell yea! Join the power wheels gang
@@skrrtgarage3922 where would you recommend I get one at?
The power wheels brand is the most robust.. it they are huge and expensive. I’d recommend an Amazon one while they are 1-3. And power wheels 3+
@@skrrtgarage3922 thanks bro!
Amazing vid thanks for sharing your experience
Is there a reason that you have to spend so much time babbling and not really showing the process .
Fun mod, but you missed a few things. 1) the original battery has a fuse built in to it. You need to add a 30-40amp in-line fuse to your hot line. 2) This rig looks like my daughter's "Jeep", so I think electronics are similar... The radio, lights, possibly steering will get burnt out by the increased voltage if you don't protect the circuit board.
I'm having trouble doing my daughter jeep any information will help
Get a 24v circuit board. Doesn't over heat the board plus it will come with a different remote.
Hey just saw your diy and wanted to know how you wired the battery in because I just did the same thing and fried the remote control board the little board for driving via remote is rated for 12v
Hmm, I’m not sure. Maybe your power wheels electronics can’t handle the extra volts? My battery has a clear positive and negative, I just matched them with the positive and negative of the drill battery.
@@skrrtgarage3922 I'm thinking yea it only burnt out the section of the board that controls the steering motor. Ordered a new one I and put a inline fuse on the steering motor I think while holding the left or right down tolong I created a huge amperage draw that cooked it
@@blu3strif314 what model did you get? I am gonna do this mod and want to be prepared but have no idea what board to get. 24V board would be nice
How do I do the jeep like that do I need that Lil board
I have a similar car but it’s got 3amp circuit breakers between the gear boxes and the controller unit. Did you remove those when you put in the tool battery?
No I installed it simply as is
What brand power wheel is that ? Link ?
Just a random one of Amazon. They are all the same Chinese manufacturers on Amazon
Will you not burn out the motors running them way past the rated 12v?
Yea they will burn out quicker than normal. But you really see wear if you double the voltage. Increasing it by 6v won’t hurt the motors as bad. Plus the motors aren’t too expensive to replace.
What about the remote control module 12V still works on the 18V battery ?
Have you ran into problems with the gear/motors?
Not yet! It’s had probably 200 hours of use too
Top speed?
3.5-4mph.
