From what I've researched, it has a lot to do with transmission abuse. People would do aggressive things to the transmission not realizing that they're causing damage such as driving with the e brake on, putting into reverse while still moving forward, running without transmission fluid. I have a 95 on the original engine and transmission at 130,000 miles and I'm careful not to make these mistakes. I'm sure if I did I'd be on the bus again

The transmission in thease…. Very problematic. My grandfather put 1 in his 94.. my dad put 3 in his 96. Not very sure what was up with that back then

I have over 235 thousand miles on my 02T&C. Make sure you use ATF4.
