Salutes to the legend!! Just of his age approximately, I too drove Yezdi (MTX 458), 1974 make around the country, going Nagpur-Hyderabad- Bangalore then Jabalpur- Jhansi- Fatehpur Sikri and then Nagpur-Nasik in a single day in early 1990s. The Stealbird helmet used to be beyond 2kg, and roads were empty (yes, crossing trucks, etc, one had to be off the road to let the big vehicle cross by). For days and weeks, the family didn't use to know where and how we were!! STD calls were horrowingly costly😊. But our Yezdi, with remade engine in 1990, was a foolproof bike (the only bike which was having excellent convenience of interchangeable tyres, front and rear). We used to fix a stepney in place of engine / leg guard which used to serve the purpose of protection and also replacing any of the tyres in minutes. I read about this legendary rider in 1994 in newspapers. Though other compulsions stopped my riding sojourns post 1994 but I restarted the same, somwhat, since 2017 on Himalayan (but sold it by the end of 2022 due to dependability issues). I could never fell in love with any other bike so much after our Yezdi. The bike was so simple, hence dependable and convenient. I totally agree with him on one point : riding isn't related to age😀 (until the age you can carry / handle) it. I may not be able to drive more than 500-600 kms a day today but the charm of riding a bike is unmatchable with anything else. Our maxim used to be "when you drive a car, car becomes the frame but when you drive a bike, you become the frame" and "car carries the body but bike carries the soul"!😀
Waiting to restart my biking sojourn with either Triumph Scram 400x or Suitable RE 450 model. On the wrong side of 55, I need to be considerate about the weight of the bike (Yezdi's kerb weight used to be 154 kg only).
Thanks a lot for uploading this podcaste with the legend. He is a persistent inspiration. 🙋‍♂️

I paused this video 7 minutes after he said ask, and when I did ask him for a favour in 2008, he went above and beyond. My heartfelt thanks go out to you. Guess what, we've known each other for less than 15 days. His kind heart and great conversation skills make him a great human being. Thank you, Deepak!

A truly remarkable and enlightening episode, a true delight for motorcycle enthusiasts. It's an incredible experience to gain insights into biking, passion, and challenges from a seasoned veteran of the community. In a time when some may claim a decade of riding experience after merely covering 50 kilometers a year, here's a man who possesses a wealth of motorcycle knowledge, finding joy and patience in traversing the globe across diverse terrains, landscapes, and cultures. This episode is a genuine gift to all bikers out there. A heartfelt appreciation to Bullu bhai for delivering such exceptional content. I've not only learned a great deal but also found immense motivation.

If you must, take a picture or two and still continue to enjoy what you are at... Sharing stories and memories can always be done while back at the base... So many people are loosing lives and very few even understand quality travel.... Monetization on the social media platform has only accelerated the downside of genuine travel

I have been riding in India since 1990, Now it's 2023 the Road conditions are the same or even worst, I own 2 bikes, RD350 HT and 82' XV750 Virago since 1992, though my Virago is a cruiser and I ride at slower speed, I face great difficulty due to it's low ground clearance, roads with potholes and idiotically made speed barkers are my worst enemy, I wonder about guys who buy Hayabusa and Ninjas these days in India. 🤔 For the bikers, today I believe Bombay to Goa road is the same as it was in 80's and 90's, the hell on earth.

And Believe me, the 100kph is a sweet spot for any big cc bike as the speed is safe to control the bike on indian roads.

I not even have a bike and I'll be 18 on coming December, for the past 2 years I started riding bikes been enthusiased to learn about bikes and the biking community
I've Seen riders right from chapris to experienced proper riders like Deepak Sir in RUclips,I learnt that riding is not all about Adrenaline, rushing through traffic doing stunts and all other hypey stuffs that the most of yt videos have shown.its about the peacefulness, our own safety, enjoying the things around us and keeping ourself calm
I am at the age which speeding is loveable for me but after seeing such Riders i came to realise its our life which matters at the end of the day there should be some fun but fun is not the only thing matters Patience is the key thing we need to follow While Riding/driving
Deepak Sir said a inspiring story of him, which made me think that our life should be explored around the world but also be commited to the things you need in to be.

The 85 Octane, mostly available outside of our country is somewhat cheaper and are made available for a reason to support the older gen vehicles. While on a ride across Europe, I came across this option and when compared to the 2 Euro / liter, this was less than a Euro....But what I did notice was slower acceleration and faster depletion of the fuel..meaning, this 85 was not for my BS6 machine...With the blend of ethanol, most of the machines are manufactured to suit this version of fuel and come with a e20 sticker. I am not an engineer, but from what little I know, the fuel pump may be a product to suit this variant for internal combustion. If you are using a older version, I can only suggest you try... the carburetor machines are like old horses..they can run on anything :))

Thanks for your kind words!! Our machines have a long way to go wrt a comparison with the Japanese... Having said this, the thirst to get a machine with exorbitant power, low on maintenance, easy accessibility to workshops, pricing etc is something the brand looks at before bringing out a machine.. If I were you, I would get what I can afford and work on getting the machine refined and defined the way I want.. I have over 200000 kms from the various Doms I have and I believe the machine met my needs though they could have been better.. But a 400 cc in my opinion is a fabulous segment that can easily take you around the world!
