You can respec in the vanilla game at Anoriel Eight Eyes. It's only available on normal difficulty by default, but you can turn it on with other difficulties (though it locks you out of difficulty based achievements because you swap to "custom" difficulty). Anoriel resets the character to how they were when you found them, so in Linzi's case for example she would reset to a level 1 Bard with all her feat and spell choices already made then be able to level to 2

Lingering Performance is such an important feat IMHO, maximizing the use of her performances especially early on when you don't have that much. So I would recommend taking it much earlier - in this build either at level 2 or 5 (before or immediately after Point Blank/Precise Shot, depending on your priority). Of cause optimal build (for main or mercenaries) would be IMHO: L1 - Lingering Performance L2 - Point Blank Shot L3 - Precise Shot
Surprisingly, Linzi can be a solid, solid party member that is often overlooked or underestimated. Example: Ranged Linzi equipped with WHIMSY shortbow (with a heavy or light crossbow for backup) is utterly nasty (in your words, a solid fuck you weapon) for most encounters in this game - Hideous Laughter can make even the most 'scary' monster encounter, like Wyvern, Trolls, etc., easy pickings for your team. The beauty of the game is that there are sooooo many companions that can be used that are quite solid party members dependent upon build one chooses for each that sometimes one wishes you could have more than a 6-member party, but yeah, anymore than 6 would/could become tedious as hell - even for me, 6 is sometimes overkill and, yeah, tedious.
An interesting thing with Soothing Performance, it's actually bugged. It acts as a Cure Critical Wounds if you read it but it is actually still able to heal Jaethal too even though she's undead. Using it is pretty easy to do later on too with Lingering Performance if you're constantly turning your performance on and right back off to maximize every single round. I'll personally do that right until endgame with her on turn based mode because why not. Not something to rely on but hey, funny little bug you might be able to use in the meantime if you absolutely need to.
You're probably one of the best youtubers out there for guides along with rangertony cause of how indepth you look at everything in the tree of a class. Then giving a build you would do, making it easier for newbies like me to understand what the hell is going on. That being said sensei, can you make a Warhammer and Shield dwarf? Or do you already have a similar build? Hopefully someone who can stay in front lines to take benefit of outflank or shieldwall with valerie, basically an off tank who hits face?
I do NOT have a Warhammer & Shield dwarf build. Were you looking for your main character to get it or Harrim or a mercenary to be leveled up? I can make you one if you give me a chance, most fighter/ranger/paladin classes can easily tank or off tank for you if that is all you needed to know.

Edit: some people on reddit helped me with a slayer build but I havent tested it out, im only on chapter 1 so I cant judge any of the builds they gave me. Oh man I got this and the Amiri build to watch now because I somehow missed the Amiri one going up haha. I just wanted to post in an alternate build for Linzi here, the skill Monkey with control capability and good support. Bards get plenty of great Enchantment spells and there's lots of gear in the game to boost the DCs of Enchantment spells specifically. This build has excellent synergy with a high martial party too because Inspire Courage is awesome Stats - Str 8 + 1 (lvl 20) = 9, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 14, Wis 10, Cha 16 + 4 (lvl 4, 8, 12, 16) = 20 1 - Extra Performance 2 - Bard Talent - Canny Observer 3 - Lingering Performance 5 - Spell Focus Enchantment 6 - Bard Talent - Skill Focus Trickery 7 - Greater Spell Focus Enchantment 9 - Skill Focus Knowledge Arcana 10 - Bard Talent Skill Focus Perception 11 - Skill Focus Mobility 13 - Point Blank Shot 14 - Bard Talent Fast Stealth 15 - Precise Shot 17 - Blind Fight 18 - Bard Talent Combat Trick Improved Precise Shot 19 - Whatever Skills - Max Perception, Trickery, Stealth, Kn. Arcana to 10 ranks and Mobility to 10 ranks, 1 Rank Athletics just to trigger the class skill, 6 Ranks Lore Religion, 5 Ranks Kn. World, 5 Ranks Lore Nature I don't currently have the game up to look at all the possible spell picks but spells of note Hideous Laughter, Haste, Good Hope, Heroism, Greater Heorism, Mind Fog (helps out other casters too), Delay Poison Communal, Grease. Plenty of other fantastic spells, just look for anything from the Enchantment school and read it to make sure there's no friendly fire on the spell and if not then it's probably good. Friendly fire spells are good too but you need to be more careful with positioning with them so take at your own risk.
I was seconds away from flaming you for not getting Skill Focus Perception over Canny Observer and then I see you got BOTH (and in the best possible order no less!). Kudos. Love me a Skill Monkey build. Only real problem I have is she is going to SUCK at ranged attacks until you get her Precise Shot. I would rather you make her a MELEE character, give her Weapon Finesse early and just run around like a pirate with Rapier and a shield. Would free up another FEAT (don't need PBS and Precise Shot) to grab whatever else you want (I would suggest Arcane Strike OR Piranha Strike for some cheap damage). And, yeah, Bards RULE as Enchanters (even a lil bit of Illusion in there as well).
Yeah but here's the thing with this build, she can attack the ranged foes first. She doesn't need to do damage when you have 5 other people doing damage and she's also amplifying their damage with the Inspire Courage. It's more focused on being the support, not everyone actually has to be a combat character. The only reason it picks up Point Blank and Precise Shot later is she runs out of good feats to take for the support role. She's not buffing her Dex either as a controller because she wants those DCs so she doesn't want to be in Melee with that lower AC. Also, I usually like having 2 people being really good at trickery early on. If one person rolls low to unlock a chest, say rolls a 1 or 2 when all they needed is a 3 you have that second attempt to open it before you need to come back (or reload if you're going to save scum it lol). Linzi starts out being great for trickery, then eventually becomes your secondary user of it but at that point she has a fantastic trickery check still with the skill focus.
You know they added the ability to respec to characters in the vanilla version of the game right? Why not respec him/her to what you want? If you want a "Paladin build", I would be happy to make you a video. I just need some direction: race? Class (purist or cross-dipping)? Str vs Dex build? Solo vs team build? Mods used (if any)? Stuff like that. Basically, anything you feel you "MUST HAVE" is helpful.

I am singing my sneaking song. Haha, I always found it weird too that you can use perform to buff stealth. Mind you in PnP the performance doesn't need to be a song, it can be a dance too. People just need to be able to see the dance at that point rather than hear it so it does make a little more sense in PnP at least.
There is a MOD that allows you to alter anyone's alignment. Its cheating, but meh...I won't tell anyone you did it. The mod I am thinking of is the Bag of Tricks mod. It adds a LOT of stuff like leveling xp, instant rest button, gifting yourself items, spawning enemies, etc. VERY useful for testing out builds.

They suggest downloading a program that places the files where they belong, but I can't remember its name. You don't HAVE to, so if you do manual downloading from the Nexus, you can drag and drop the files (after unzipping them) into the correct folders. i can walk you through that if you can't figure that out.
I like taking one level in ranger for the pet and the bonus to a enemy, i pick human as thays what we fight most of, then i focus bard till about 5 or 6 levels then eldreotch archer.
I don't THINK so?! But I never tried. I can test it out later today and see if you would like to know, but I think spells/abilities like Fly or Wings DO protect from ground-based effects like Grease and Web (but oddly NOT the PIT spells).

You need 4 levels in Ranger for a pet, and even then it would be worthlessly weak if the rest of the build is Bard/Eld Archer.
