hey just asking since I feel like some people that know what’s going on would be here, I just got Celeste, and the screen randomly blacks out for like a few seconds, mid level, cutscene, and it always happens when I open the game. Should I re-install?
Your best bet is to post something in the r/celeste subreddit, chances are it's some known issue. As a general rule, yeah, try re-installing, and check that your drivers are up to date. Those are usually the first things in the checklist!

hey eelis! i definitely wish you left out the part at the beginning where pointcrow reads out the previous name of exok games and inadvertently deadnames maddy, it doesn't add anything to the video and for most trans people is rather disrespectful (i don't claim to speak for maddy of course and can't speak to whether the previous name of her company effects her, just wanted to let you know my feelings on this). otherwise great video, always love how much time you take to condense the best moments of so many different playthroughs of awesome games!
also just wanted to add i'm not assuming any ill will here, just guessing you didnt know
For the benefit of anyone who doesn't understand what Yoshimi here is talking about, the creator of Celeste (named Madeline) once went by a different name before her transition, which is reflected in her team's former name, which is mentioned at the start of the game. I'm sure that there's no ill will here as many people don't know about the creator's history, but it's better to edit out any accidental usage of her dead name.

@@notowen990 yep! and that name was changed for a very good reason.
my point is that there is no reason to say/include in your video anyone's deadname when it can be avoided. in this case it absolutely could have been without any downside. i do not blame anyone for not realizing that something as innocuous as the game studio's name could be problematic to some people. i'm just doing my best to inform others of the situation, so that you can see why this feels uncomfy to me and probably a good few other people
