    I'm 5'5 and I'm trying to increase my vertical. To compare my vertical to a basketball net, I'm like 2 inches away from the rim. Any training tips that helps with explosiveness?

    • @aidangayadeen4186
      @aidangayadeen4186 4 года назад +3

      yh bro. I'm 5ft6 i play outside for my uni. My wingspan is 5ft7 i touch 315cm tho. If you're old enough to do weightlifting stuff then look at how to do power cleans and hang snatches with proper form. Push the lift with your hips. Do heavy trap bar deadlifts as well for 6x3. 3 reps is good because you can push yourself and maintain good form. Push it through with your hips as well cuz hip flexion is what helps you get higher. Another weightlifting thing to do is barbell jumps. Only do this if you're confident in your explosive ability already. Just get a box around 45cm high and put a barbell on your back and jump onto the box. Add weights as you feel more comfortable. Squat as low as you can before jumping onto the box as well. do 3x8 for that. repping out is important with this one. It helps with stamina as well as explosive power.
      Outside of the gym if there's anywhere you can train on sand then do it. I don't know a single beach player who isn't explosive af indoors. Look up flexibility stretches so simple one hamstring exercise bend down and touch your toes with straight legs. Hold it for as long as possible and just keep stretching lower and lower to work your hamstrings. The more flexible you are the more ability your body has to compress and explode up.

    • @CatsuMK
      @CatsuMK 4 года назад +1

      Open gym is just meant to be volleyball for anyone. Its a free net and you can do whatever you want with it, unless others want to use it, then that's on you. But costs and stuff like that depends on what your gym decided to price it at, same goes for time.
