    Thanks for the video, we've got 3 of our gas rings with problems, plus 2 not igniting. The boss was thinking we'd need a new cooker, now I feel confident I can at least sort the thermocouples, just the igniters to sober 👍👍big thumbs up

    Thanks for the clear explanation!
    I've got this same problem, but the screws holding the burners seem to be stuck. Not surprising as these are stainless screwed into cast aluminum and over time will fuse by galvanic corrosion. The small phillips head screws make it even worse, they're so easy to mangle.

    Great video and just what I’m looking for as my top fat left burner has the same issue. What length wire do you think I will need?

      The best thing to do is take the hob off and measure it with a piece of string

      I ordered 3 thermocouple and got the 600mm ones, I just coiled up the excess. Working fine

    I wonder if you can help me I’m trying to replace the thermostat on a range master 60 classic. For the life of me I can’t see where the screws are to take the front plate off to take the thermostat out?

      I am afraid I am not familiar with that model. You could try looking round the back or behind the knobs. It's a case of hunting but don't undo anything you are not sure about. Good luck!

      Thanks for the reply. Maybe someone else on here might know? I’ve asked Rangemaster but they won’t tell me!! It seems like it’s a secret 🙃

    Hiya I'm experiencing the same problem but because its not connected to electric yet could that be the reason.
    Please let me know
    Thank you

      If it's not connected to the electricity yet then the ignitor wouldn't be working.

      Thank you for your reply at the moment I'm lighting it with cigarette lighter but the problem is when I release the knob flame goes off.

    • @mr-jack
      @mr-jack  Год назад +1

      @@shaguftabegum7933 I just did a test and switched mine off. Then tried to light it with a lighter. The ring lit and stayed alight after I released the knob. I have to admit I didn't expect it to stay on. So your problem could be the thermocouple.
