I like junkenstein more than most probably do after all this time, mostly because of nostalgia since I bought the game in an October and used that mode as an introduction to things, but damn you’re right lol
@@SlamDunkPyro I like it on its own as a game mode. The game is already team oriented so when you can get the squad and coordinate against bots and AI enemies in a finite level, it's such a nice change of pace from the PvP, especially since I'm generally not a fan of PvP anyway.

They claim that they will get the resources and the team that was in charge of PvE and get them back to working on the PvP, which they claim “was a great amount” and told us that we can expect the game to be better. My question is: Can we really expect a group of people and resources that worked in a 4 year PvE game mode that didn’t even release and expect the game to be improved? I don’t think so.
Imagine working your a** off for 4 years just so that some disgusting pigs in the higher ups say “No, the live service will gain more profit. Scrap PvE, that’s not important anymore.” And just like that, all the work you’ve done for 4 years goes right down the drain. No wonder Jeff left, if I worked there, I would certainly have left already as well.
They also admitted that they haven't really touched the PvE mode in the background since ow2 released
ALSO, they allegedly had stopped working on the PVE 1.5 years ago, meaning that either the current rate of development is likely verrry close to the max capacity, or that they'll unleash a quick flurry of PvP changes to deceive and appease the community

I love how the reason is "maintaining a live game" we were literally patient for almost 3 years of the dev team basically not working on a live game. We ALL know the real reason, OW2 is just OW: Microtransaction version. They decided on this before OW2 dropped, they never even spent any time on both development and an actual live game, I'm mostly tired of all the lies.
Well, you see. With Overwatch 1, all Heroes released, and to be released, are included with the purchase price. With Overwatch 2, you have to pay for more heroes. Overwatch 2 pay more. They left out a couple words in the title. Though I had to laugh when anyone called this "Overwatch: Reforged".
Right? And every patch broke a character for 2 weeks. They want to talk about the quality we deserve though lol.

Temporary glorified archive missions that they call "PVE" are not the same as the actual PVE they just canceled

This is a bit disingenuous. They’ve been releasing free old skins periodically since launch. It’s lame as hell for the players who have been here from the start, but it’s not their damage control.
Don't worry Microsoft will own them soon and we all seen how great the company's they bought are doing now like Bethesda's Redfall.

The "free" skin (free if you pay for amazon prime) has the same vibe as bethesda giving $5 of ingame currency for people that spent $300 on the collectors edition of Fallout 76. The difference is that Bethesda at LEAST acknowledged the nightmare that was that event, while Blizzard just put the skin on AP without saying a word about the current backlash...
Wasn't that just because people were actually making moves to form a class action lawsuit?
What bothers me is that they admit in the interview that they KNEW at the end of 2022 (basically when the game launched) that PvE was scrapped. I DO blame the developers here for coming on camera a dozen times with other streamers and lying to our faces that pve was coming. Overwatch 2 is literally a cash cow that is being milked and I think now that half of the playerbase has left they finally pulled the plug on PvE. I'm guessing that after season 6 OW2 goes on maintenance mode.
I don't think the streamers lied i think the streamers got lied to and trusted blizzards there's a difference just look at flats reaction look at stylosa they are destroyed by this news

The skins not even really free. You have to have prime gaming which is included with Amazon Prime. Blizzard couldn't even be bothered to do that.
So SAD I've been playing OW since day 1 with over 2500 hours. I love the game and believed in a bright future and always stayed hopeful and positive. Today is the DAY I give up ! The Blizz team is a mess the quality has been awful ( Heroes not ready at launch, Broken updates, Crazy Bugs and much more). OW2 does not have the magic OW1 had (Lootboxes, Player progression, On fire and much more) . After 6 years of OW I'm going to try to break free and find another go to game.

I don't know if it's just me, but I would rather have the PVE and no updates for a while than no PVE at all.
Overwatch 1 has no updates for 4 years bc they were working on pve it's tragic to see it go but they haven't touched it since before ow2 released they dropped plans to finish it a while ago
FYI pros are quitting cause it feels like overwatch 1 now and some never took a break. Even some people who never played like ludwig and more are talking about pros quitting. Also some updates like story just never came out and will NEVER come out
I feel so bad for all the people who worked on the pve stuff only for it to be thrown away.

Hey, I don't even play Overwatch 2, but I freaking WANTED to and I was waiting for PVE so I could get on. I love this universe and want more to be explored. I'm angry too, for not myself, but for all the people who were more invested emotionally and certainly financially than me. This scam set a bad precedent for other developers and publishers for future games, and if people don't get mad now, future people will be made to think it's okay.
It's fine to be angry at the sight of wrongs, even when you aren't the victim or hurt as badly as others. The world needs that sort of empathy.

They said that with the talentsystem they ran into the problem that it wasnt possible for them to give each hero about 50 talents, while releasing more and more heros....

I think, at some point, Blizzard needs to get their heads out of where the sun don't shine. If any of the stuff they got us excited about was actually any good, we wouldn't mind its return or the re-reannouncements of the same-same gamemodes of the past decade. With 3 Archives missions to date, which should be counted as "Story" missions, which aren't all that good at all, and the lack of commitment shown over this past decade to the actual story of Overwatch - I am convinced that there is no such story to be told, especially now with the devs confirming the DELETE key on the biggest chunk of it.
Considering refunding my d4 order. Suppose to b cosmetic only but after this bs I feel like they r gonna go back on their word any time they choose. You know it’s bad when a entire community wants a loot box system back 😂

It’s a pretty awful time to be doing this on thier part too, Apex just made slot of people pretty happy with the new changes in them at season and I was teetering between which was my main until I heard this news. Then to find out it was cancelled before OW2 even came out just leaves a worse taste in my mouth. Idk I’m just sad
A free skin? Every skin used to be free lol OW2 has been dead for ages, ya'll just humping a corpse at this point. If you want change the ONLY power anyone has player/streamer ect. is to stop playing, leverage your position, show them you won't eat up the garbage, because if you do that's all they'll keep feeding you.

You know the saddest thing about this is that the actual developers that work on the game, especially jeff, had a really nice PVE vision but it wasn't going to be instantly profitable. I'm sure a lot of new talent joined the team thinking they could help turn OW2 into the game everyone knew and loved back in OW1 for this to happen. So many fans and developers have been laid to waste by Blizzard's poor management decisions. I would like to be optimistic but I'm not sure if it's worth it to even care about OW2 anymore.

I think an under talked about aspect of all this is that we have technically had most of the resources put towards the live PVP part of the game, which is pathetic considering how underwhelming its been overall

Can we stop blaming the devs, it's not their fault at all, it's activision blizzard leadership, those guys aren't devs. These devs are just people who want to make art, with the constant team switch ups and revolving door of talent at blizzard we need to stop blaming the game devs and blame leadership and higher ups. With all the previous news that broke out from past a couple of years, this is 100% on the devs. They let the corrupts run and it festered within the company, and let it thrive. Now, there's almost no morale with the game developers, so yes, this is all on them.

"It's hard enough to maintain a live servicing game" I would've given the benefit of the doubt if it weren't for the fact that very very old bugs still exist Hero balancing is still pretty bad getting kicked out of matches for inactivity even if it's the server lag making you not move. I have no clue about programming BUT I know enough that smaller teams of Devs can fix these problems as soon as possible the amount of employees that Blizzard has is inexcusable for this kind of "quality"
I will say from what I understand that this wasn't the devs fault, but more of an executive decision. The devs didn't really have a say and that it was the executives that said "yeah were scratching stuff"
Don't worry, although Overwatch team won't get any more resources to work on the protect to its fullest potential, at least Bobby Kotick will get another multi-million dollar bonus by the end of the year. As Dr. Harold Winston said; "don't accept the video game's potential as you see it, dare to see the profit margins as they could be". I think that's how it went.
After 3 days of not touching the game I called my friend, we tried and jokingly said "while we still can play it lol" and then we lost 3 games in a row hahaha and Idk even winning, it feels wrong to play... blizzard doesn't care about me, even if I pay for skins they won't care unless I pay over 1000$ or something, that's their goal.
Seeing the people at the league trying to be cheerful with the games was hurtful too while the chat was boycoting... Everything feels really bad right now.

Canceled before the game even released, but they still pushed the 'founder' packs that allowed PvE access. People who bought that aren't getting anything out of it now.

I didn’t even bother to buy the battle pass and barely touched ranked it just feels like too much effort for a game that gives me so little for my time and effort. I’ve been a player since ‘18 and it literally is so draining trying to support this game anymore. I can tell other OGs have slightly given up and just said fück it as well. And that’s disappointing.
