Beauty mode was all the way off. Sorry should of specified that. I turned that off when I first got the phone and never put it back. I hate beauty mode

Me neither but you can keep checking both Samsung and Google store websites because they offer amazing deals sometimes up to $400 off with free goodies and interest free financing even with so so credit! It's the only way I will buy one. I use straight talk also 🤓 never had a problem!

I agree with this. The S10 color balance is far more pleasing to me that the blueish/darker one from the Pixel 3.

The Galaxy s10 video front facing camera is better with higher dynamic range. Live focus on the Galaxy S10 has the better effect of blur which mimics a real SLR, unlike the fake blur effect on the pixel (this shows when light spots show in the background). The Galaxy S10 also has better audio recording and much real colors in photos.
Overall the Galaxy S10 is better with more powerful and versatile hardware and software. Don't forget pro mode with dual aperture on the Galaxy s10 which allows for even better image capture.
Samsung did an amazing job this year and Google has to step up its camera game in order to compete.

Lol samsung's blur is trash its so fake lol pixel's blur is a lot better and closer to a dslr ... and yea bout dynamic range on front facing camera yea but on rear destorys samsung in terms of dynamic range .
@@360Hrs not even close. The blacks are too crushed. I can literally take a picture and edit it to look like the pixels. All you have to do is to very amateur editing, such as turning up the contrast too much, sliding the detail and clarity almost to max, and using the saturation bar. I would be in deep shit if I turned in a picture like that to my teacher.

Excellent comparison. Loved it. Both phones are good and personal preference matters.
Though I don't get the single lens hype for pixel. Other phones also use only one camera at a time (except for portrait mode).
Samsung gave ultrawide which is amazing.
I remember in a Google blog post where Google engineers said second camera takes useless space that could be used for more battery.
S10+ have 5 cameras while pixel 3XL have 3 and S10+ still have a headphone jack, larger battery and microSD slot.
Both have Pro and cons.
Both phones are good, videos are more stable on Galaxy s10

S10s dynamic range is almost perfect and I never realized how much the pixel really crushed the shadows til now.

I liked the s10+ overall but damn I hate that over exposure. My note8 was so over exposing my face and my t shirt when I took photos in the sun. In bright areas Samsung phones struggle with exposure. Am disappointed with pixels camera, shadows crushed out soo much terrible but can give excellent photos, I guess it’s not consistent
I generally preferred the pixel for photos, especially at night. The images you captured of the castle with the pixel were really impressive.
The S10+ is way better with video though. Google needs to work a lot more when it comes to video for the pixel.
Yup completely agree, as someone who has a pixel 3, video quality+ 60fps would be nice, and I wish we could have our own gallery built in instead of Google photos

Galaxy S10+ is better in daytime shots because of higher HDR. Video is also better on S10+
Pixel 3XL is better in night shots and selfie shots.
The S10+ tends to overexpose while the Pixel tends to take a way too contrasty picture sometimes.
Even note 9 has better video than pixel 3

the 3 camera has different purposes, actually the comparison is comparing between MAIN CAMERA (normal) between S10 and Pixel...the other 2 cameras, have different purposes.

The S10 wipes the floor with the Google phone. Specially when you factor in the fact that iPixel users are stuck to auto mode, while the S10 gives you the versatility to switch to manual mode and get exactly the picture you want.

Pixel 3 looks good but I feel like it has a Snapseed filter.
Actually, Pixel 3 has better front cam in all conditions. Samsung have white tint in all of the front camera photos in night.

Pixel 3xl is a generation older...its very awesome how it still keeps up with newer generation flagships that have better sensors and more lenses.
Pixel 4 is just gonna blow every competition out...can't wait
and S20 blew Pixel 4 out of existence....this is why I hate pixel fanboys
being a photographer, the pixel 3 had some really nice contrast & color/shading. s10 was amazing as well, but I found more than a few times the lighting was blown out, and the pixel in the same photo looked more professional.
That's so hard to pick one...

yeah cause google was able to do all that stuff with just one camera, now they're adding 2 more, I'm excited. The pixel 4 is gonna be awesome.
But, if I'm being honest, the comparison between the pixel 4 xl vs s11+ may come down to preference because, at the moment, Samsung's photography is almost perfect they need to fix the exposure, the white balance, delete that AR emoji and address the issue of the quality of their photos being reduced when they are uploaded on instagram and snapchat, it will be the perfect phone hands down.
Really fair comparison man, good job. I definitely wanna try my hand at pro mode when I get the S10+. I realize it's not for the masses, but that's where you can really test that sensor.

Danny, apparently the gcam mod from the note 9 (Google camera port) works on the S10. Could you try a couple night sight photos with the S10 to compare? I know it's a fringe group that would do this, but would be very interesting to see.
I think the pixel is superior if you're into post processing. The pixel 3 seems to have a slight HDR look which I think allows it to pickup more detail. The pixel's color and lighting can always be corrected in mobile lightroom or something, while the detail and sharpness that the s10 is lacking can't be.

Its overrated phone like it or not with out the camera its nothing, and its camera just happens to take photos with alot of contrast witch is arguably likeable, but you can't do much when editing them, actually you can't edit them completely! The photos are heavily processed to the point if you increased the shadows (for example) the photo will look like hot garbage!

Awesome review! I rarely share a pic right out of the camera, it will be good to see how much you can do with the picture in after processing, with Snapseed for example, specially in high dynamic range situations when trying to get details from shadows or highlights

Tbh I though the s10 lost selfies were horrible and pics were detailed from far but zoomed in it would lose its details but then again the s10 just came out so it will have camera updates to improve on the camera
