    Thanks for sharing. It shows how a classical piano and a very modern granular synth can harmonize and make beautiful music, each bringing out the best of each other.

    beautiful, the sound from the lemondrop, what kind of sample was that?

      Thank you! If I remember correctly I have a Polybrute pad on one layer and some Spitfire strings on the other layer + some sine lows from the va oscillator.

      @@Winterdagen Thanks. I have a tiny eurorack setup and picked up the lemondrop for some simple background ambient pad sounds but I know its capable of so much more and, honestly, can hardly wait to dig in🙂
      Was actually wondering if you would mind doing a similar piece using the pianoinfinity preset on the drop solely.... Your style is absolutely wonderful and I'm a bit curious to see what the little guy's piano emulation would sound like with your style of play🙏

    • @Winterdagen
      @Winterdagen  2 года назад +1

      @@verdielg Awesome! I think Lemondrop would also be lovely as an effect / granular sampler for your modular.
      Ohh I haven't gone into the presets at all to be honest haha... I'm really not that much into presets, a big part of the fun is creating my own sounds. But I'll check out the pianoinfinity preset! Or maybe I'll create one myself that sounds true to the piano.

    • @verdielg
      @verdielg 2 года назад

      @@Winterdagen Yes, I hope to create some unique patches and effects with it for sure. I find modular really great at developing lead melodies but I usually get immersed in its generative patches. The granular mix should complement it well (if I do it right).
      Not surprised you haven't checked out any of the presets on the Lemondrop with that beautiful classic sitting in your studio. I probably wouldn't either if I were you 😊

    This is truly inspiring. How on earth did you make that evolving drone patch? Have been strongly gassing for a Lemondrop and if producing something like that is anywhere close to as easy as you make it seem, it's practically a must buy for ambient players. Sincere kudos.

    • @Winterdagen
      @Winterdagen  Год назад +4

      Thanks a lot! what The way I like to work with Lemondrop is to just browse through stems of my music, and pick some nice sounds I already made to load in and completely change into something new. I think this one's a sawtooth pad from Polbyrute, strings from Spitfire and sub from the internal oscillator. It's super easy to get inspired and create sounds on this little thing! But as with all granular synths, because you're working with samles as the basic material, the outcome is highly dependent on the samples you put in.

      Thanks a lot! Lemondrop really excells at textural pads, but is also really cool for rythmic stuff since you can tempo sync the grains :)
