Absolutely beautiful. Love it and even replaced it with my Andromeda A6. And that's saying something...And this put tears in my eyes, because today is the day my bro died 8 years ago...and you made me feel like so happy ...thank you so much...
Thank you! The arpeggiator is actually really really deep! It takes some trial and error, but I've found that amazing patterns can emerge by just pressing some the buttons and listening to what sounds good :)
@@Winterdagen Yes the matrix arpegiator is a little more difficult to understand than a standard arpegiator. Not sure if it’s unique to the Polybrute but I had to play with it for a while and dig through the manual to really understand what was going on. And nice patch btw, the last time I tried to make a brassy arp sound it ended up sounding like a dinosaur fart 😂
@@Pintosonic Exactly! And haha yeah I've noticed that filter env attack is crucial here, when it's too long with high intensities, it really turns the brassy character into fart sounds 😂
I never particularly liked the sound from this synth.Βut in your video there is something magical.especially in 3:18.When you open the filter it is so nostalgic.Thank you for this fantastic arpeggio demonstration !
This is the most deeply felt arp session I have ever experienced... It just reflects exactly my intimate connection with synth... Thank you!!!! It would be incredible amazing if you can share how did you build your setting and the parameters you play with in live. I would love to performance something like this.... It's like a dream.
This is great. I have been watching videos and decided I want to get both the poly and the maxi brute. They are top tier. Great programing here, love your patch and performance.
Thanks a lot! I truly love my Polybrute, everytime I create a patch on it, I'm just amazed :) So I'd definitely recommend it! Also think the Matrixbrute is an amazing synth as well. I have a little to much mono/para stuff already, but who knows at some point haha!
That would be super cool if you could do a tutorial on how you did that song on the Polybrute. I’ve tried to do something similar with the matrix arpegiator but obviously there must be something that I don’t understand because I can’t do anything that remotely sounds like that.
@@liamquinn Thank you very much! The tail end of the year looks a little less busy for me so hopefully i'll be having the time to make some new videos in between projects soon :-)
Not as dark as a p6 but the sonic possibles and sound exploration from this synth look at least on papers as i never had one still yet, endless . Amazing video. It sure has the sound to fight with the big boys
Thanks :)! It's very versatile indeed! While it may not be as dark as a P6 or similar, I do feel it can sound amazingly alive with a little bit of modulation.
Great instrument the polyBrute love its sound and arpeggio en sequencer posibility great job hope you have a quick recovery and if you got some time look at mij channel the last to tracks with the PolyBrute...
SO good ! 👏👏 presumably you could also convert your transposed arp Apperley into. Sequence, place in sound A, split the keyboard and add a lead on top too ? Great ending too by the way !
Thanks a lot :)! Hmmm, you could make the arp into a sequencer pattern, but you would not be able to make a sequence as long as this chord progression, let alone the variations in the chord voicing each round. But hey, synths enough to play a lead with :)
@@TraceyChattaway Thank you! About the tuning: it's really tight and spot on. Which is actually kind of boring to me, because detuning in one way or another is what makes synths sound lush to me. But there are a LOT of ways to make this happen with modulation and settings, in an easy way, so it's really the best of both worlds. :)
@@Winterdagen Thank you for taking the time to share your insights about tuning, that's great to hear it's been spot on. I'm close to buying one and have read some people experiencing issues connecting to their DAW and faults with the unit, so I'm glad to hear you've had a good experience. I'm looking forward to hearing more of your music, it's a stand out.
@@TraceyChattaway You're very welcome of course! I think it's a really really well built unit, so no worries about getting a faulty one. I'll be making some more synth videos soon :)
What settings did you use for this? Sounds great, I have had trouble getting sounds like this where it has good low end but a bit of high end(is that from reverb?)
Thanks! Hmmm it's all in the patch design really. For this one I add high end with the second filter, routed in parallel and slowly turned to high pas which lets trough some of the high frequencies. Using a little of the sub on osc 2 helps to fatten up the low end. I also love to boost highs a little with eq, not sure if I did that when mixing this as it's a little while ago. Ohh and noise to filter is one of the secret weapons of the Polybrute for me, it just makes everything sounds more alive.
@@Winterdagen Thank you! That makes sense, I've been forgetting to use the noise to filter, but have noticed it has some really cool qualities. I'll try that out more. Seems like this synth has some great sculpting possibilities, I've just had a tough time to get it sounding less bland. Recently I have experimented with some of my guitar pedals like UA echo station and that's helping though

Better than any Polybrute 12 video i have seen and heard. love it, really nice patch and chords.

WOW this sounds so good, it's a shame we don't see more jams with Polybrute these days.

Best analog synth of the last years I think. Great patch 👍
Oh wow. This… is a masterclass in how to perform with an arp.
Thank you! That's a big compliment :-)

C'est un son d'origine au PoluBrute ?
Are all sounds from the PolyBrute?
And now, the 12?🤔
Who knows at some point! The 6 extra voices don't do all that much for me to be honest, but the extremely expressive keyboard seems just incredible.
