    Hi. Has a similar problem with a BH easygo race 2016 36volt-5.8 ah. When I built a new battery, Battery Capacity showed 0% when it was full charged. It is the original bms that sends control current to the "battery charger lcd meter". On my bike it's in a small cable (yellow) besides the bigger + and - which need controll current from orginal bms. 1volt = 10% battery 3volt = 30% 7volt = 70% battery and so on. Myself i have not found any original bms yet, so i tried to connect 36volt (head power cable) along with controller current cable (getho style =)) then the bicycle works but the battery meter is 100% all the time, which is less good. .

    Hi, can you tell me a good/safe way to charge the 48v battery for my Evo City Nitro without spending $200? I don't have the original charger.

    Did you have any luck getting the battery to work ? Did you try contacting HiTech Energy for a replacement BMS. I see they have an office in Europe.

    Very interesting , at some point I`ll have to do mine but so far its fine . I have a Neo Cross I got about 4 years ago . Its done 4.500kms & no real difference yet....What I would like to do is get it back to 350watts instead of 250watts that it is limited to in Australia....I`m guessing that the easiest way to do it would be a new controller rated at around 350w..If you or any else has any idea's please let me no .. I still enjoy every ride I go on with the bike .

      NO you don't need to change any hardware, the motor is already over rated (350W) and the controller, it's the EU 30Km P/h 250W firmware restriction, that's all. I have the software but you need your dealer to upload to the controller using the special interface BH supply thier Distributors only... and you sign the EU waiver (prob wont apply to Oz anyway).

      OK...Your the first person I know that no`s anything about it .Thanks for that.....Could you send me the software to my email address....... ianmorgan@tpg.com.au .........I have noticed that the full power setting ...Turbo...dose nothing at all......Would be nice to get all the power when needed........Thanks ...Ian..

    I have the same problem, tried to set black cable to mass and yellow cable to 4V... nothing. Orange cable to 4V: Still nothing. Anyone has found a solution ?

    Hello Alan. Do you know what voltage should be on small pins of battery?

      I believe those are for comunication protocol between the oroginal bms with the other parts of the sistem as ESC and display

    Wow I'm late for the party, I am going to pick up one of these 48v bikes from 2016 with a dead battery, but these comments are scaring me.I can rebuild the pack and want to know the exact Samsung replacement cells. I know there's 39 and assume they are 3000 mah. 30 amp discharge. Would that be correct?

      Hey, do you have any update on your bike project. I just bought one of these bikes and the 48volt battery is dead and I would like to know what will be the best approach to fix it. Any comments will be useful. Thanks.

      @@alvarodelsolar7967 I hope your BMS is OK. I did not find Korean made OEM LG cells, but a seller at AliBabba found China made LG cells. Since the BMS switched the main contacts between charging - discharging , I needed to install a relay which is activated by a DC voltage found in the charger. I would recommend that you check and change dead cells first. I hope your board works.

    Great to get more info from everyone ... i belive later BMS can handle 36 and 48v battries and one universal charger.... gonna try order one to test.

      I have re-packed a few older packs with faulty cells and after balancing got some working for a short while

    Alan, anyone, I am a bit late to the party, but anyone did anyone have any luck with replacing BMS and getting the controller to read the voltage? I've tried to apply 3.6 -4.2 V to the yellow wire, but no joy. If anyone managed to reverse engineered the serial protocol, for the battery status, please let me know. Any help is welcome.     Hello, could You tell me Which cells are built in there? Is this a 13S3P Batttery? I only See 30 cells? Was this a 48V 9Ah battery?

      The 36v Batteries are 8 x cell in each of the 5 separate packs 4 are spot welded in in parallel ie: S10 (3.6v per cell 10 in Series).
      My Video shows the 48v version in the same style enclosure (S13). This is laid out differently, 3 cells are in parallel x 5 packs there are only 39 x 18560 cells in this configuration (you can see one cell missing from the normal pack of 40 in my video).
      The spot welded interconnect of each group of 3 parallel sets is very confusing as it's an odd number and the original case was not designed for 48v.

      Yes I got it. I already bought a Nitro with 48V . We will see whats next. For the moment everything is working fine.

      Are you sure that the original problem was the cell parallel groups that was out of balance insted of a bms problem. The battery problem is fixed if you place the yellow wire from the main supply cable at the first balance group after b-=3-4.2v.

      The yellow wires, from the conector of the bateríe on the frame, u open and the yellow small wire is positive, must pass 10volts, u can put s small bateríe of 9volts, u conect positive 9volts to the yellow small wire that it goes the controler, the negativo to the negativo of the 36v or 48v the same, i did it and it works, u will have 100%of batería on screen for one year, then u control the big batería with other sistem puching a boton, u can hack ur bike, it works 100%,sorry Bh

    The evo-jet 48v had 3 dead cells dead balance charge board, and missing thermo sensors. Cells changed, BMS replaced with a unbranded one that fit, a 7.4v wire using the 2s group from the main negative to the orange on the port harness( yellow in the bike) . The bike rides beautifully.Items to solve: get the charger to deliver power ( the OEM board turned it on) .
    The LCD displays 60%to80%,because the said7.2v wire range is 6to8v OEM sent 0to10v.
    If anyone knows how to hack the charge brick to deliver 55volts I would appreciate that info.

    long frustrating project is correct. Ive worked on BH bikes and they are impossible to repair! They use UART commmunication to ensure you are using original BMS. If the cells have been replaces it will stop working, if a secondary battery is Connected it will stop working. If you as much at LOOK at it wrong it will stop working! Want it fixed? Cannot be done! Want to buy a new battery? Well you would have to travel so spain and pay like €800 for a new one. BH bikes are great but their batteries suck!

      Hi you are totally correct a brilliant bike company has totally let down their loyal customers by supplying a really poor battery product /partner. What makes thigs worse is the defects in their early products have not been fixed or addressed in replacement parts. I’ve seen a local distributor nearly go out of business from such poor support. It's really easy to supply customers with a replacement BMS or at least the tool to fix the bugs / firmware issues. My bike has been in my garage gathering dust while I try to find a decent BMS that will fit into the case.

      I don't know if you found a BMS but this one fits, I'm wiring it as I write this. If you're pack is open please post images of thermo sensor(s).

      @the battery doctor. As ilook to buy an older ebike the proprietary nature of a perdatory company is what i worry about. There are lots of ways to give a bike juice but will the bike electronics allow it? Maybe the only good answer is to replace the controller electroics too. Hopefully they dont start making "smart" motors.

      How did you Bypass your unit? Are you using a different battery? Please any update will be useful. I just got one of these bikes with a 48volt dead battery and I would like to know what will be the best approach to fix it. Thanks.

      OK if you Google Speed Hack ruclips.net/video/PAKgDdcUeTs/видео.html you will see some guy has added a second battery pack in series with the regular battery, they seem to be able to use the extra voltage, perhaps 48V is juts out of the controller limit ?
