Hey Roman thanks for answering my question about possible brands to look at for my sons as a college graduation gift. Here is an idea for an episode or episodes. Do a show on ideas for college grad gifts in following price ranges: under $200; under $500; under $1,500; under $3,000; under $5,000 etc. In each price range you could feature a dress watch, a sports watch, a field watch etc. In the lower price range perhaps you also look at quartz models. Just an idea-do with it what you want.

Nice history of the 264 years old Swiss watch company Vacheron Constantin. I think the Vacheron Constantin Overseas with the cross of Malta bracelet and case is one of the most beautiful sport watch in the world. The gold Jaeger Le Coultre Reverso is a beautiful collector classic watch at a low price. The tonneau Vacheron Constantin Royal Eagle is a beautiful classic. The 56 inch Panerai watch is a good watch for tall NBA players that have big wrists.

WOMD Idea: More collabs with personal collections that explain their watch stories - how they got into collecting, why they collect, the meaning behind it all. More personal/sentimental stuff. We all know how much these expensive toys go for. I think it would be nice to hear the stories collectors have about their watches.

Hey Roman, WOMD doesn't have to be only watches! Watch News from the computer on your desk. I'm interested to hear more insider information from you from your trip to HK/Dubai especially with the recent economic slowdown. You sell jewelry too, I'm sure some of them end up on your desk as well. Perhaps you can also consider investing in a macro lens to show us in finer detail the beauty of the watches. Cheers

Vacheron Constantin is the sleeper of the watch hobby.... Holy Trinity along with PP and AP... but priced more reasonable... why? they don't follow trends, they aren't a hype watch, but they make a watch on a level that arguably even PP doesn't anymore, thus their moving to their own PP Seal and not the coveted Geneva Seal.

Ideas for WOMD: Get some other dealers to show their stock, maybe someone who specializes in some particular brand/category OR you can visit some of your dealer friends OR Get some of your regular/old clients to showcase their collection.

Great video Roman & thanks so much for highlighting VC & their history. So many people treat VC as "that other trinity brand" as if they're in some way inferior to PP or AP. It'd be great to see more content featuring Vacheron & maybe even a video highlighting why they get shortchanged in both conversations & resale value vs Patek & Audemars. Do you think VC will ever break free of that trend & get the more mainstream recognition that PP & Audemars do?

    Hi Roman,
Discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I am now a big fan! Thanks for your hard work.
I am a big AP fan too but there is one question I would be curious to get your opinion on. What do you think about the Code 11:59, especially the Chrono. I can’t decide whether I like it or not. A flyback Chrono with date at the retail price is quite competitive I think but I am not a fan so far of the design. What’s your view?
    Many thanks

I do like from the rival "trading desk" the most watched watches on their website....but maybe that is predictable and you can put a Roman Sharf spin on that idea? Possibly there is something about the VERY FACT that you are an internet seller, which means can do something that bricks & mortar content could never do - in terms of what's on my desk - although I am reaching on this one.

What about VC Overseas? Looks great, especially in a rose gold. but it didn't happen to become a grail watch like PP 5711 or AP RO, to your opinion why it is not an iconic watch?
And 1 more question, why they sell a model of Traditionnelle Chronograph Perpetual Calendar with regular but modified Lemania movement by the same price as PP perpetual chronograph?
Your show is awesome! Got lots of knowledge from you.

Good stuff again Roman 👍 It'd be cool to see a manufacturer doing that Tonneau or rectangle style in that Reverso / Royal Eagle size class but with modern appointments a la Richard Mille. Got another question for you, as you sell also lower price bracket brands like Citizen; is the AD's cost in % on brands like Citizen, Seiko and Casio similar to their cost on higher price bracket brands like Omega and Breitling?

    • @RomanSharf

Hey, perhaps instead of a greater number of watches you could show us more of the watches you have at hand. I don't know what kind of camera gear you have at hand but macro shots of some of the movements and dials especially of rare and pricey pieces would definitely allow you to get more content out of fewer watches and also give you more unique visual content that people want to see. Some other guys on youtube are doing close-ups but only one or two channels really do macros. Not every watch will lend itself well to this but I'm sure you would have a few each week.

Roman great collaboration with watchbox the other day! I have a AP question for you as I know they are your favorite! mine too! so you can see my dilemma! I have narrowed my purchase to 3 different watches. I currently have a batman and trying to decide if i want to keep it or trade up. Option 1. keep batman and buy navy dial white face offshore , trade batman in and add more money for either the Juan Pablo Montoya or the new AP ghost offshore. your thoughts? so hard because I love them all! I have tried them on and I can pull the Montoya off even though its larger than the others. Thanks! And happy Holidays!

Hey Roman! Love your content have been watching for over a year now. Just like you I am a huge AP fan! I was wondering what your opinion is for the future of AP? I'm a huge fan of the offshore line as well as the Royal Oak Chronos. With the release of the 11.59 do you think that there will be a major overhaul for the movements in the rest of their lines, particularly the Royal Oak Chrono? (Maybe also clear casebacks coming to the them as well) Tacking onto that do you think that they will do a major update in form to the offshores? They just made the new 42mm offshore in titanium with new pushers. Do you think that form will carry over to the other offshore models? Would love to hear your input. Once again thanks for the videos!

I feel like the problem with vacheron is that they have trouble connecting with the market today. While other manufacturers have their signature watch like patek with the nautilus and AP with the royal oak, Vacheron doesn't. In today's market, the most important thing is exposure not complications. The nautilus is time and day only watch but it cost as much as an new AP code 11.59 with the perpetual calendar, and it's still selling like hot cakes. What saddens me is their attempt to bring more exposure to the company by introducing the entry level fifty six line with an entry level price of 11k. The fifty six line of watches looked generic and uninspired, and they were quickly forgotten in the community. I'm not sure what they should as a company. They can sell out and make more steel sports models, but it going to be hard to compete with rolex and the like. They can stick to their guns and only make high end dress watches, but those aren't selling well in the current market.
