@@F40-RULES But they would never open the car that has the can at the end (except during peak hours) for what they claim security reasons. They instead open the car adjacent to it. Again during off peak hours, most conductors only open the least amount of cars and doors possible.
Just to clarify, the red brake handle on the fast brake is the automatic brake, the black one is the "holding" brake. It will only work if the speed is under 2 MPH. This brake helps smooth-out stops
So the red handle is basically the equivalent of a vehicle brake and works automatically to slow the train to a stop while the other one just holds the train in place so that it can’t move while people board and exit. Cool to know! Thanks for explaining! I assume the left handle is the throttle or equivalent to the vehicle gas pedal.

How did you get in that in the car where they control it every time I ride the mbta they never let me go up they make me sit in the back nowhere near the cab
If you live on the North side, you're all the way up front, that's just the way it works. I know this engineer and the cab car was open because the cab had cameras.
THATS THE ENGINEER THAT GAVE ME A SAAHC AT BRIDGEWATER LAST WEEK!!
Such a nice engineer for allowing you to film the cab ride 👍☺️
Such an awesome video! I've always been trying to find videos with cab views like this for the MBTA!
Awesome dude!
Wish you filmed all the way into South Station...

Nice video. I saw 1843 and 1842 being delivered a few days ago.
1843 is now in service actually.
1843 has been in service for about 3-5 months. 1842 has yet to enter.
@@reallifechronicles1707What about 1832 & 1833?
@@TrainfanProduction They have electrical problems with computers, especially with fires sparking. "bad ordered"
@@reallifechronicles1707 what about 1845 or 1847?
Also curious what the screen above the engineer’s head is for? Looks like a computer screen above the controls.
It is, It displays information about the train, traction interlocking, engine displays among other things.
This must have been a morning Peak train. This is the only time you can get a cab view on an MBTA commuter rail train.
Looks like it was on the weekend since only one car was opened. Otherwise there would have been more than one conductor.

@@Spaceshotx7 This was a 6 car set and the cab was open. Plus I know the engineer so I could go back there whenever I want.
Is the black thing next to the door a brake along with the red one? I find these controls interesting to look at btw

Doesn’t look very convenient having the horn button far from the throttle and brake controls. Not sure I’d like that.
yeah
So I know the red lever is the brake but is the gray or black lever the throttle
I believe the black one that the engineer grabs on the left is the throttle. I believe the red and gray are both brakes.

Oh ok. So it is just the gray lever for throttle@@reallifechronicles1707

This is a K3H. Its a overblown and fouled one.
I'm thinking of taking this video down. What do yall think?
