      So interesting for you to mention the word tradition. It has been tradition in Rochester to celebrate Pride in July since the late 1970s. Why July and not June? Rochester is a straddler city between Toronto and NYC. Most LGBT people in Rochester leave in June to go to those bigger festivals. In order for Rochester not to miss out, LGBT folks here also celebrate Pride in July. Consider yourself lucky to live in a city that gets to celebrate twice! ❤
