I like the idea of publishing these unused guitar tracks because they give you incite as to what Martin and the boys were creating/thinking in the studio.
For people wondering about the source of this, it has been floating about on bootlegs for a while now but originated from a BBC program around 2010(?) where they showcased some of the oddities from the master tapes as well as what at the time was quite good isolation technology (pre-ai)

Interesting alternative direction they flirted with. One thing is near certain, had they gone down this road they would have made it work, it wouldn’t be what we hear in this tape. That said, it’s a sonic masterpiece as is.
It's easy to say now that it doesn't fit but if it was released like that it would still be a classic and we'd be used to it.
guitar at 00:03 sucks balls.
If it was released and the one without the guitar part wasn’t released, would we say that it sounded like it was missing something?

I’m going to add this track to the actual Come Together song using Soundtrap to see how it sounds full.

So glad it was cut. It would have brightened the mood of an otherwise ominous iconic album opening.
Doesn’t sound bright to me, sounds quite threatening…
this is not from the opening
@@bobwoolerOriGinalHe’s talking about how Come Together is the opening track on Abbey Road
Whos to say this was the opening?
@@Nerkin610 I agree with you - by bright I guess I meant more of a rock song rather than a Lennon-esque message in the form of a song.

i could see it working during the outro
I heard this a few years ago but I question why this was never included on the anniversary box set ? I find this suspect.
Yes perhaps

Reminds me of Interstellar Overdrive by Pink Floyd when Rog does the picking with his bass at 1:30 in the song, idk weird tho.
It sounds like the same chord used on “Oh! Darling”.
I would say it is the same but it is similar as the chord in oh darling is a minor add 7 chord whereas the one here is just the major chord.
It's a sound that will make you fall asleep, like an ASMR. I wonder why they couldn't create a more powerful sound.
The Beatles come together was 😊a great beatle song 🎵 ❤️ ♥️ 💕
They knew what they were doing, made the right choice

I think it's interesting and funky with character. George's little spacey solo always seemed a little too minimal.
Love that spacey minimalist solo

It sounds cool, and keep in mind most isolated outtakes are going to sound a bit odd and different than they would with whole band.

Interesting.
Was this sourced from a 5.1 mix? I don't remember this in the Beatles rockband stem tracks. Very cool.
Nevermind, looked through the comments.
No a bootleg
so john counted in, and they went straight to the chorus? right.
They used to do different parts of a song separately once figured out the sound, so they could mesh the takes together afterwards.
