@JCallsMe Billy is William. James Paul McCartney died on 11 September 1966, not 9. November. If you look at a photo of Paul taken in October 66, you can see that the facial structure has already changed. The eyes look different compared to the beautiful brown eyes from one month earlier. And the moustache is already there (the real Paul never had a moustache). So in October he already looked like a different person, so Paul would have died in September.

It's quite uncanny how Abbey Road is perceived and does sound like the Beatles ' most produced and lush album.... But upon closer scrutiny it's quite raw and made on the spot. A testament to how they got so good at nailing the takes!!!
Yeah! It’s fascinating to listen to the isolated tracks, they often sound less perfect than you would expect. Even Paul sounds a bit sloppy sometimes. Their secret is that they sound so incredibly good together. They are 100% locked into the same groove and have the same musical instincts.
it does sound the best because it was recorded on an 8 track tape (all the previous ones were on 4-track) which gave them more freedom as far as bouncing, more layers, more complex arrangements and also better mixes. Geoff Emerick has said that the TG12345 transistorised console played a large part in shaping overall sound of Abbey Road, lacking the aggressive edge of the valve consoles and also providing compression, EQ, track limiters etc.

I've always thought that Mean Mr. Mustard was more in Paul's style than John's. When I first heard it as a kid, I actually thought it was Paul's song.
Takes me back to my childhood bedroom, listening to their songs.
Paul has such a great voice. Very versatile, goes high, goes low, anywhere you want to go.
