Who Took The Seats

  • We got a a call for a SxS that was having electrical problems in Pritchett Canyon. They said it had rolled over but all the wheels were attached and the steering was fine. So Mike and I took the buggy in to flat tow it out. It was just passed the obstacle called Down And Dirty. We got to it and realized someone had taken the seats out of it. Luckily there was a short lounge chair in the back seat so we used that. The pull up down and dirty was a struggle but we made it without winching. Then we got to the Brickyard Obstacle and was letting a Jeep Group pass when the owner showed up with the seat. So the ride out from there became more comfortable for Mike. We got it out and onto the trailer and hauled it to town to the repair shop. Then we volunteered to help a gentleman clean up his camper that had burned down a couple days before. It was on public lands so it was his responsibility to clean it up so we offered to get it out of there for him. We took both wreckers to carry it out and down to the gooseneck. The hubs were ruined so we couldn't just put tires on it. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Your tire with a huge gash in it reminded me when i work at a gas station in the 70s. A guy came in with a tire that looked like yours, he asked me to fixit, and he told me he had no money. I told him we didn’t have any boots big enough, he said do you have any road maps, I said we have plenty of road maps, he said that he used them all the time for tire boots. I fixed his tire with the road map, and sent him on his way. I’m not suggesting that you use a road map to fix your tire. And for those wondering yes we used tubes in our tires. Great videos love the views.

I’ve owned a 4X4 of some variety since I was 22 (still do: Jeep and 3500 Dodge). I boondock snowmobiles, fly a Cub in the Idaho backcountry, motorcycle, ATV, river jetboat, and have driven far more miles on bad roads than most people in my life.
I’m nearly 70 years old and watching these guys week after week makes me realize my skills and driving are pretty lacking by comparison.
Everyone watching this channel should be impressed.

Really great video. Man, that side by side was in some really rugged country. I thought you guys did a fantastic job of getting it towed out of there. Mike's butt has got to have some bruises!! LOL!!! I really feel for the guy loosing his home (camper) . I'm living in one now and I can't imagine how devastating that would be.

That was amazing watching Rory driving Blue in reverse, pushing the camper AND Trail Mater in reverse. For his next trick Rory will push (not pull) a 100' log chain up Hell's Revenge.

Trail Mater team to the rescue of the side by side and the burned out camper. Old Blue needs a new tire because it split on the trail. Good to see Shawn back on film. Good job crew on these recoveries.

Rory ~ "Man that was a steep face to climb. I thought I'd NEVER get you pulled up over that"!
Mike~ "Yer tellin me! I was so scared I was going to roll backwards, that I had the brakes on, the entire time"!
